When Faithful Politics began, we knew that we would be entering a saturated political podcast market. We also recognized that our calm and civil style of conversation is not one that was likely to boost us to the top of the podcast charts, but that was never the point. Nevertheless, we felt compelled to offer an alternative to the hyper-polarizing conversation and political discourse we have seen permeate throughout our country. Having a Conservative Republican and a Liberal Democrat on the same program with guests from all political and religious backgrounds shouldn't be something unique, but strangely in today's society, it's viewed as an anomaly.

Since starting the podcast three years ago, we jumped in with both feet and developed a website, learned how to edit and produce our own content, invested in marketing, and have dedicated countless hours in show prep, talent acquisition, and maintenance of a Facebook Group, Twitter and other social media platforms. We collectively agreed that we would finance this effort ourselves because frankly we did not know if there was a market for civil dialogue, but we are happy to report there is, and that brings us both hope and aspiration to continue our work. What started as a passion project has evolved into a movement to instill civility back into the mainstream of political and religious conversation. We believe that our brand of conversation resonates with people of all backgrounds, so much so that it has garnered us a special one-hour segment on C-SPAN (https://www.c-span.org/video/?517383-5/washington-journal-wright-pastor-josh-burtram-discusses-podcast-faithful-politics) as well as, a diverse array of prominent voices that operate within the Faith and Politics community (Guestbook: https://www.faithfulpoliticspodcast.com/team-4)

Looking towards the future, we want to expand our outreach and help bridge the communication barriers that is causing so much divisiveness in our country. However, in order to accomplish this, we need funding. Our current annual operating expenses are a little under $2,000, and up to this point has been paid out of our own pockets. We have had roughly five individuals who have donated money to help us with our mission and for that we are forever grateful, but there’s so much more we could do with your support!

Here are a few things your donations will help us do:

Understandably, asking for money is never easy, especially from random strangers.
