About the Project
I have spent the past two years writing Facing Home: A View From Abroad while living and working in Qatar, which has been my home for more than 12 years.
This short novel is not a memoir. It is a work of literary fiction that parallels my personal journey from cynicism and fear to a place of quiet acceptance.
Why my book is FREE
I explored the world of traditional publishing, only to discover that I am a far better writer than I am a pitchman. I believe the best words to "sell" this book are found within the text itself so I have decided to provide the story in its entirety for free.
Furthermore, given the complexities of our current global landscape and the fact that I am sheltering in place during the latest crisis while living in Qatar, I believe that my story should be easily accessible to all. My hope is that it inspires meaningful dialogue about our shared human experiences and brings some comfort to those who need it.
