[T/N] I apologize for grammar mistakes and incoherencies

    Chapter 06.

Chonlathee sat up in the morning of the next day, feeling disheveled. He barely slept, constantly worrying about whether Phii Ton was awake or not, so he kept his mouth shut the whole time.

They kissed as adults. He kissed Phii Ton like an adult, with a sweet taste tinged with the bitterness of cigarettes that lingered on the tip of the tongue, providing a feeling that was difficult to describe.

Everything was good. If we don't mention the fact that it started when he tried to seduce Phii Ton while sleeping.

   “Good morning.”

“Uh... Phii Ton... uh... uh... uh... good morning.”

“What the hell are you stuttering about?”

“Nothing. Last night, did you have any strange dreams or feelings?” Chonlathee asked, restraining his curiosity, with his hand hidden under the thick blanket.

“No, I was just really tired and slept deeply. Why are you asking? Are you a ghost or something?”

“No, I just had a dream. I dreamt that suddenly you were dragging me to bed and talking to a mango tree.” Chonlathee felt relieved, depending on the reply of the older person, before crafting some made-up story.

“And what happened to your lips? They seem swollen.”

   “Um... um... um... um.”

“Do you want to keep saying um?”

“I don't know.” He raised his hand and covered his mouth, hating himself for getting excited and being so obvious. His eyes widened.

   He seemed embarrassed.

   “Stop it. It's already morning.”

“It's six o'clock. When will you go back?” He tried to calm his mind and emotions... to find something else to talk about, diverting the topic. It seemed like the best option at the moment.

“Once I finish eating, I'll go back. I'm thinking whether to go home first or to the dorm. Going back home might be better, especially since none of my friends are there at the dorm. It'll be lonely. Going home is probably the best choice.”

“I'll come to stay with you next week. But if you feel lonely during this time, you can call me.” Almost muttering to himself, he couldn't control his mouth. Just like that, he offered himself in such a way. To call and chat with anyone who feels lonely.

But it seemed like Phii Ton didn't think too much, as besides pausing and accepting the offer with a nod, he got up and walked into the bathroom without saying anything else. As for him, he felt relieved knowing that Phii Ton didn't feel anything when they kissed last night.

And he also found out that Phii Ton... tastes really good.

After they finished packing the food, Phii Ton drove him back home, bidding farewell to Mother Nam in a casual manner, unlike when he left. Just by nodding his head once and saying, “See you later.” Then he drove away.    Confused and unable to see clearly, I stood in front of the house for a while after driving the car out. When Chon turned around, he saw his own mother standing and looking at me with strange eyes.

It seemed like she wanted to laugh and say something sarcastic.

   “What is it, Mother?”

“Would it be convenient for you to go to Bangkok today, Chon?”

“No, thank you. It's better if we stay apart.”

“So, how is it? Have you managed to bump uglies with the neighbor's son?”    “Mother, there's nothing like that, really!” I felt my head shaking and quickly walked into the house, but Mother Nam continued walking in and started talking about him with Phii Ton.

“But, I've been attached to my son for a long time. I almost forgot about my own son.”

“Phii Ton is just lonely...he can't sleep well when he sleeps alone.”

“Really? Then, why don't you sleep alone at home or in the dormitory, Ton?

Isn't it strange to come here and not be able to sleep?”

“Well, anything can happen. It's possible.”

“But if Ton calls tonight to talk to Chon about his difficulty sleeping, I suspect I will have to talk to Tai about dowry.”

“Enough. I'd rather go watch a movie. I won't talk to Mother anymore.” Chonlathee waved his hand and ended the conversation. He walked up the stairs of the house, but he still hears Mother's voice clearly in both ears.    “The closeness between people is scary, Chon. Especially on vulnerable days, it doesn't seem like I am wrong. Ton has become addicted to having you in his life.”

...No, it's not true. I myself am more addicted to having Phii Ton in my life.    Muttering to himself softly, he said, “It's better to be apart for a week. Let the heart rest a little. It seems that during this time, the mind is not stable.”    Chonlathee stood and looked at the atmosphere outside his bedroom balcony. He looked towards the neighboring house where he had been living for about three weeks. He found it surprising that even though his house and Phii Ton's house were adjacent, the two houses had completely different atmospheres.

Phii Ton's house was surrounded by tall trees and flowers. The house itself was not big, just a small two-story house suitable for being called a garden house. However, the surrounding area was spacious, indicating the owner's good status.

As for his own house, it was much larger and more modern. There were a few small trees, and most of the space was covered with grass. The area was fenced off with a white wall about one meter high to demarcate the territory.    While I was standing, continuously thinking, the phone on the wide bed suddenly rang loudly, shaking and illuminating the screen.

I had to bring myself back to the present moment, sliding open the glass door into the room and closing it tightly to prevent the cold air from escaping the air conditioner.

I walked slowly and nonchalantly. But when I saw the name that appeared on the screen, my heart started beating faster.

Phii Ton didn't call me normally. Instead, it was a video call after just a few hours of being apart.

“I can't answer the call right now. I can't answer it inside the room.” I swept my gaze around the pink pastel-colored room. I saw a lot of cute dolls and cute belongings scattered around.

Collecting Sanrio dolls was his personal hobby. The reason the room was pink was because it was his favorite color.

Finally, after making a decision, I reached out and grabbed the still trembling phone and went out onto the balcony, the most suitable place to talk to Phii Ton and Chonlathee.

I answered the call as my surroundings changed. Soon, someone appeared on the screen.    “You are late.”

   “I was in the bathroom.”

“You're not sleeping yet? Where are you in the house?”

“Not yet. I'm enjoying the breeze on the balcony.” I smiled at the person on the other side of the screen who was about to go to sleep. Because, behind me was a pillow, indicating that Phii Ton was sitting on the bed, “Do you have something to talk to me about?”

“I just want to have a casual chat... is that okay?”

“Of course it is. But it feels strange.”

“Yeah! I think I'm strange too. I can't sleep... I don't feel tired at all. But when I hear your voice and see your face, I start to feel sleepy.”

“You feel lonely, don't you, bebe Phii Ton?”

“Calling me bebe Phii Ton. If I was closer, I'd lean on you, Chon... Oh, I think you look good without glasses... I just noticed that you have a good face. I don't mean handsome. I mean good, cute.”

He noticed Phii Ton squinting his eyebrows and leaned closer to the screen. He must be trying to see his face more clearly.

“Many people say that. In conclusion, are you going to sleep or not? I want to wish you sweet dreams.”

“It feels like I'm being chased in a roundabout way. But I'll go to sleep.

I'll say sweet dreams in advance.”

   “Yes. Sweet dreams.”

As soon as he finished speaking, Phii Ton clicked “end-call” and left him with a heavy heart. Phii Ton called, just as Mother-Nam had anticipated... but maybe it was because Phii Ton felt lonely. It wasn't like he had any intimate relationship with him.

The bright light flashed from the phone in his hand while his heart was filled with anxiety. Upon paying attention and picking it up to see, he realized that it was another tag from Phii Ton.

It was a picture of him being cropped from a video call. His face was on the big screen. As for Phii Ton's face, it was in a small corner at the top with a short description that said,

   “First couple's picture.”

Before he had a chance to click on anything, Nhai, who was Phii Ton's friend, sent another sticker to catch his attention and stopped at a few sentences.

“You are so cute, Ton. I'm a fan and a follower of Chonlathee's FC.

And then Phii Ton replied shortly.

“Have you talked to Ayaret about it yet?

“Not yet. I think I might die from bed induced punishment when he sees it. Damn... I haven't made a last will and testament yet.”

Chonlathee smiled at the argument. He clicked like once and walked back to lie down on the bed.

...It felt strange that today there was no one sleeping beside him like every night...

Dealing with the thoughts involving Phii Ton was difficult and cold. He tried to persuade himself to be in the position of secret love, tried to strengthen himself so that he wouldn't suffer too much when they were close.

But he couldn't lift his love for Phii Ton. Even though he tried not to think too much, warning himself several times, he only received words of failure.

   “Oops, stumble!”

“Believe it. Because you only kept sitting and licking ice cream until it melted completely. What's wrong, Chon?”    “I want Phii Ton to be my husband.”    Suddenly!

Chonlathee looked at his beloved friend Kaem who just sprayed water and took a sip. His cheeks blushed loudly, causing people in the shop to look.    “Didn't you say before that you only wanted to secretly like him?”    “Being together is enough, being close. It's no longer just a secret, you know? I want him, Kaem… I want to have a boyfriend.”

“Just go for it, I support this endeavor.”

“It would be better to lose the senior-junior relationship and upgrade.” He still remembers the day they made the agreement when they watched the sunset together. That thing about being good siblings to each other.    “Can you withstand it? Because soon you'll have to live together with him again.”

   “That's right.”

“Can I ask you something? Will it hurt you? Just being close, just looking, I don't have any experience with secret love, so I don't know how it should feel.”    “It hurts. But it's better than being hated. I've been treating Phii Ton kindly every day just hoping he knows my existence. It's not like I expect something deep.”

“How deep did it go? Did you go as far as being hurt back there?”

   “No. Just a peck.”

“Gosh.” Kaem emitted a squeaking sound as he blushed, wide-eyed looking at him almost in disbelief, “What kind of kiss was it?”

“Just a light peck on the lips, where did you think I kissed?” He softly replied, raising his finger to his own lips, gesturing to keep his voice down.

It's not a lie. I did peck Phii Ton's lips, but it was just because of the role. That's it... Good practice.

“Oh, Chon, I didn't think you would be so brave. You've even secretly kissed your crush. It won't be difficult to make Phii Ton your man.”

“Are you crazy? You keep saying that. How do you see me? Huh!? And another thing... Phii Ton doesn't like me at all.”

“But I think Phii Ton cares. I see him often looking at my photos.”

   “Just playing around.”

“But you secretly hope, right? Wondering what Phii Ton thinks of you.”    Chonlathee looked up, his gaze coldly avoiding his cheeks.

“Um... yeah, hope. It's a deep hope.”

“You have to confess. Seduce him until he falls for you.”

“No, if I go and it fails, I'll ruin our senior-junior relationship.”

“You can find seniors anytime, as many as you want. A boyfriend slash husband is more important. So, here's what you should do, Chon. You have to try to confess without letting him know that you are. You have to make use of the relationship and trust that Phii Ton already has. Approach Phii Ton smoothly, just like what you're doing now. But try to increase activities where people can see you as a couple. You have to play big and not let any woman approach him, and eventually, Phii Ton will be your man.”

“Finding ghost oil is easier than you think.”

“I know a shaman who sells ghost oil if you're interested.”

“Oh, just kidding. But playing big means what? Explain it.” Chonlathee took a spoonful of melting ice cream and put it in his mouth. But all attention was focused on what Kaem was about to say.

“Take a simple example. All men like someone who understands. Don't pick a fight. What can you do to promote peace? Don't create unnecessary conflicts.”

   “I never pick a fight.”

“That's good, but now there must be something to replace the heart.”    “What about Phii Ton's earring? I bought it. He never takes it off... just in case.”

“You have to talk to him every day until he is so used to it. When you keep away even for a few hours, he'll feel like something is missing in life.”

“Oh well, but lately we talk almost every day.”

“You have to show ownership. It's about eliminating enemies and competing with others!!!”

“What? What's that loud noise?” Startled from listening intently, it was because Kaem screamed into the spoon, causing him to fall without a sound.

And criticizing him with loving eyes.

“So you understood what I told you to do.”

“...Oh.” Chon wanted to reply that he didn't quite understand.

“You have to make Phii Ton like you. If you want him.”

“It's so easy. I've been doing it for a long time.”

“Try a little harder, I forgot one thing. You have to tease him a bit. Make yourself beautiful, so he can't resist.”

   “Sorry, I'm already beautiful.”

“Annoying... but since we've been friends for a long time, I'll help you plan. We have to carefully plan this, so you Chonlathee can be with Phii Ton without difficulty.”

“I hope nothing bad will happen.”

“Hmm, nothing bad at all. Next week, are you going to stay with him at the dorm? I'll make the plan. I guarantee everything will be fine.”

“So you think being hated is what I consider fine, huh?”

“Have a little confidence in yourself, Chon, you are cute and have a good personality. Anyone who is close to you will definitely like you. Phii Ton won't stand a chance.”

“Not quite sure about anything.” Taking a tissue paper out of the box, wiping the sweat off his forehead, even though the air conditioning in the shop was freezing. Before using it to wipe off the ice cream residue on the table.

Will this plan work, I wonder...?

   Chapter 07.

High mountains, trees, grass, and the vast sea landscape were replaced by skyscrapers. Chonlathee sat listening to music in the car stuck in traffic on the road. The hot air dominated in the afternoon, creeping in through the closed windows. He glanced into Mother Nam's large family car, who volunteered to drive him.

The necessary household items were packed tightly in the car. But because he had to stay with Phii Ton and his soft and fluffy doll army, he left them at home.

Chonlathee decided not to use his own car. He discussed it with Phii Ton and the other party volunteered to pick him up and drop him off at first. Moreover, he lent him a car to drive in Bangkok. The big guy and his mother agreed that driving in Bangkok is different from driving in other provinces. It was evident from the way motorcycles sneak in between cars and drive recklessly while one had to keep an eye out to see if the side mirrors would be taken by the passing two-wheel vehicles.

But so far, so good. Even when he reached Phii Ton's apartment, the car's windows remained intact and perfect.

He had to admit that he couldn't help but inspect himself. Someone who had never gone anywhere in the city before, this was his first time. It was not surprising that he worried, including his mother's concern.

He raised his hand to greet the middle-aged woman who stood beside Phii Ton... Aunt Tai, Phii Ton's mother.

He noticed that this apartment is not far from the university at all. It was a tall building with multiple floors, equipped with convenient elevators and a relatively good security system. Furthermore, there was a 7-Eleven nearby, confirming that it was not completely dead.

“Go, Ton, go help Chon with the luggage.” Aunt Tai lightly tapped Phii Ton's arm, urging him to come to the back where the car door was left open.    “Actually, you can just bring the clothes. Everything else you need you can use mine.”

“Mother-Nam prepared it.” He replied before hearing Phii Ton exclaim in protest as he was being dragged by Aunt Tai.

“Speak nicely to Little Chon and be kinder to him, come on, let's go. And put on a nicer face.”

“Ugh, I've been speaking like this since the beginning, and my face has been like this all along. Chon is getting used to it until he doesn't know how to feel anymore.”

“Argue and you'll get a smack.”

“Huh! Chonlathee arrived and Tonhon turned into a rotten head dog.” Phii

Ton looked at the hammer nonchalantly, then grabbed his travel bag from the back of the car with only one hand. He then slung the backpack over his shoulder and held two or three items in his other hand. He walked into the building with a small amount of belongings and clothes that had been ironed for Phii Ton to carry. Because the rice that the other party took, the worker at home had to help carry it twice.

“I'm still stuck with the issue of feeding you. You said I would feed you the day you helped carry the items.”

“Alright. I'll take you to the regular restaurant.”

“Okay.” The conversation ended silently after Chon followed Phii Ton into the elevator, and when the doors closed tightly, only the discussions between Mother-Nam and Aunt Tai about the new collection bag that had just been released two days ago remained.

I don't care. Because the smell of nicotine mixed with a faint odor kept him completely lost.

Finally, the elevator opened again on the 5th floor. The owner of the room led the way. The hallway of this dormitory was quite spacious, so it was not difficult to carry the items.

505 is the room number. He stood waiting for Phii Ton to tap his card. Before walking in, he managed to place his bag in one corner.    “I will get another keycard from you. Probably tomorrow.”

“Okay. The room is really spacious.”

“It will become narrow over time... Actually, my mom asked if we wanted to change to a single bed and sleep separately. But I told her that we can sleep together. Because we used to sleep in the same bed at home.” Phii Ton quietened down, looked at the closed bedroom door, then continued, “But if you want to separate the beds, it's okay.”

“No need to make it difficult. I don't like worrying about Phii Ton and Aunt Tai.” Chonlathee smiled at Aunt Tai. He was quite familiar with Phii Ton's mother. Because the other party often went to their house, sometimes staying for two or three days. Moreover, they had traveled abroad together on several occasions.

“No need to worry, Chon. You are like my nephew. If Ton does anything wrong, you can call and complain to me. I will set him straight.”

   “I never do anything wrong.”

“Okay. Phii Ton never does anything wrong.” He confirmed what Phii Ton said and secretly looked at the faces of his mother and Aunt Tai who were smiling.

“You get along well. Go on. Be happy together... And take care of each other. I entrust you with the little one. Really, Ton. If Chon goes astray, you can warn him.”    “Okay.”

“I am leaving now, Chon. If you want to come home, call and let me know. I'll have someone from the house come pick you up.” Mother-Nam pulled him in for a hug, patted his back for a while before letting go.

“Okay. When you get home, let me know, Mother.” Chonlathee felt a bit emotional when he looked at his mother. He paused for a moment and then walked out. The feeling was like when he first entered kindergarten, but because he was older now, he had to hide his vulnerability.

“What do we need to bring, and do you want to buy anything else? There's a mall nearby, I can take you there.”

“I'll take care of it myself. If we need anything, I'll let you know.” He stopped paying attention to the closed door, stepped inside, and turned his attention to a tall person standing with his hands on his hips, staring at a pile of his belongings. But when he said he would take care of it himself, Phii Ton picked up his large bag of clothes and walked towards the bedroom.

“The wardrobe is in the room. There's a bathroom inside and outside. The kitchen is fully equipped. And most of the time, I use the dining table for reading books. The real work desk is in my room, you can come and see it.”    “Looks like you've invested in gaming.” Chonlathee said as he walked into the bedroom. The air conditioning inside the room was left on until it was chilly. In one corner, there was a not-so-wide table with a 25-inch monitor turned on and left unattended. The gaming gear was of good quality, and there was a big gaming chair. It seemed like a significant investment, as Chonlathee had said.

   “Do you play games?”

“I can't really say I play... it seems like you left the game running. You go continue playing. I'll take care of my things, thank you for bringing up my bag.”

“No problem. If you need any help, just call me loudly. I can't really hear with my headphones on.” Phii Ton looked at him with a grateful expression and then turned around, took off his shirt, and draped it over the edge of the chair. He sat down and started playing the game seriously. When Phii Ton was focused on something, he looked really good.

After a while, he was in a state of relaxation after taking a shower and changing into fresh clothes. Feeling tired from the journey and taking care of the food, he walked in and out of the room for about an hour, with Phii Ton glancing at him every time he opened the door.

Sometimes, he would ask if there was anything he could help with. Although the majority of the answers were “no.”

Now he lay stretched out on the wide bed, playing with his mobile phone while Phii Ton was still sitting there, facing away, playing the game.

He turned his body towards Phii Ton and, with the bravery in his heart, asked for permission. But secretly, he took a photo of the back of the chair and sent it to Kaem.

   [With Phii Ton now.]

   [What are you doing?]

[Phii Ton is playing games, I'm going to sleep.]

[Hey! Just sleeping isn't enough, you need to find something to shake

Phii Ton's heart, according to the plan.]

[Phii Ton is only playing games. He doesn't seem interested in anything else.]

[Go and sit closer, take off your glasses and squint. Say what game is that? Make him breathless and blushing. If he shows symptoms, it means he is starting to like you.]

[How did you know these things?]

[Read it from a novel, quickly follow it, then tell me how it turned out.]    Chon placed the phone next to him, sat up, and took off his glasses as Kaem instructed. Before getting up and walking towards Phii Ton's back, he heard a clear click of the mouse. The closer his face got, just a hand's width away from the handsome face, the louder the sound of the mouse click, followed by the loud voice of Phii Ton.

“What's up, Chon? Don't come closer. You're blocking my screen.”

“I just wanted to see what you are playing.” Perhaps ChonI moved closer than before, almost touching his cheek with the tip of my nose. Maybe it's him right now, with a breathless red face. As for Phii Ton, he just...

   Fling!

“I told you not to block the screen... Are you dead yet or what?”

With a slight force of the thick hand pushing against his head, the screen obstructing gaze shifted away gently. But there hasn't been any change in Phii Ton's face, not even a bit. No signs of breathlessness. No sign that the other person's face will turn red either.

Overwhelmed by the desire to die, I turned my body completely and laid down on the wide bed, sending a message to report the situation to the person that planned all this.

[Stop it. Besides being pushed away, I don't see anything changing with him.]

[The war is not over yet, you haven't counted your biggest asset just yet…your body.]

   [That's enough. I give up.]

Chonlathee locked the screen when he didn't want to talk to anyone anymore. Phii Ton probably had no chance of genuinely liking him, he had to bury his face in the bed.

Sleepy... Also starting to get hungry.

“Because of you. I almost ended up dead, Chon. Are you still hungry? Let's go find something to eat.”

With a strong jerk, I had to turn my body up to look at Phii Ton, pick up the shirt and put it on smoothly. He even raised the pierced eyebrow on the side.

Before walking to pick up the car keys.

   “Yes, a little hungry.”

“My friend wants to come with us. Said something about an FC.”

“Is it Phii Nhai?”. He stood up and looked for his wallet, ready to go out for a meal, with the phone stored in his pants pocket.    “Hmm, Aai is with him. They are close,is that okay?”

“No problem.” He replied as they followed Phii Ton out of the room, attentively listening to the advice from the older guy on everything, starting from how to use shoe racks in front of the room.

Phii Ton asked him to drive to the restaurant. At first, he was not used to driving because Phii Ton's car was long. But once he got used to it, there was no problem. However, the bigger problem was remembering the route around the university.

The good thing about being with a taller person is being able to see the bigger picture. However, he only needed to remember the cafeteria, the Management Faculty building where he chose to study, and the engineering faculty building of the guy himself.

They were quite far apart. The engineering faculty was in front, while the Management Faculty was almost on the innermost side.

They drove within the university compound for a while, and Phii Ton told him the way to the restaurant. During the not-so-late hour, the parking lot of a small cafe was still empty.    “Let's sit by the window.”

   “Sure.”

It seemed like the general conversation between him and Phii Ton would gradually become shorter, but it did not make him feel uncomfortable. The reason they spoke less was probably because they understood each other's body language a lot.

He followed behind Phii Ton and finally sat on the opposite side of the table in front of the glass window.

“Look at Aai parking, messing up everything.” Phii Ton pointed outside, sweeping his finger towards the parking lot... where a BMW car drove in and blocked Phii Ton's car. From the description, he immediately understood that the car belonged to Phii Ton's friend, Phii Aai.

“Come sit on the same side as me. My friend might be contagious, our bodies need to stick together all the time.”

“I recognized Nhai from his profile picture on Facebook. He looks really friendly in person.” He got up and moved from the opposite side to sit on the same side. His gaze still focused on the mentioned car, he saw Phii Nhai walk down with a wide smile, then ran over to stand in front of the driver's side door. After a while, he saw Phii Aai also step out of the car. He even raised his hand to pat Phii Nhai's shoulder as soon as he saw him.

   “That person is Aai.”

“He's so handsome. Are all of your friends tall like this?”

“Nhai and Naai must be the shortest.”

“Phii Nhai is short. What should I call myself then?” Chonlathee smiled. As for the height of a short person, it's almost the same as Phii Aai.

   “You're just a small guy.”

   “That sounds cute.”

“Chon, I want to ask you something?” Chonlathee looked at the person placing his hand on Ton's leg. Phii Ton's face became serious and he asked,

“What do you think about same-sex love?”

“Uh...” Or maybe Phii Ton already knows about him.

“Well, I want to say that my friends are dating.”

“Really? Phii Aai and Phii Nhai, huh?” Phii Ton looked back and forth between Chonlathee and the two people who were getting closer.

Admittedly, it was not clear, but from the way they walked closely together, it seemed to be true...

“Hmm, I told you earlier so that you shouldn't be surprised when they show affection. So, what do you think?”

“I'm fine with it. It doesn't matter what gender they love... And what do you think about same-sex relationships?” It seemed as if his ears perked up when he asked the question. In addition, he remained calm while waiting for an answer.

“I'm fine with it, just like you. Any gender is fine if there's love.”

“Have you ever thought of liking men?”

“No, not yet. I still like women.”

“Uh... I don't think I need to ask that.” Chonlathee laughed dryly before turning and offering a smile to the two people who had just arrived.

“Why did you ask? Are you worried about what I would think? Just because I like to pull you to sleep with me? Stop thinking about it. It's impossible!”    Taken aback by the statement that it's impossible, but then the tension disappeared when Phii Nhai's voice arrived at the table. The man’s voice arrived before he walked up again.

“Ton, my dear friend. Finally, finally.”

“Finally, damn it. You don't even know what it means when you say it.”

“Finally means finally. Hello, Nong Chon and Phii ChenNhai. And this is

Ayaret, just call him Aai. Aai doesn't talk much when faced with strangers, but he's not as ignorant as Ton. He's like a big person with a brain the size of a green pea.”

“At least he didn't get lost or mistaken like you did, and how long have you taken till you found him, Aai?”

“Two days ago, I just went to pick him up.”

Chonlathee felt pleased with Ayaret who was a friend of Phii Ton for his soft and gentle voice. His calm posture indicated that he had received good training in etiquette, unlike Phii Nhai who walked up to the counter to ask for the menu, along with discounts and recommended items from the restaurant.

Different, but still looked good together... Jealousy could be seen.

“Phii, give Nong Chon the menu first. Let Ton come and tell that he is an FC.

Did you tell him? Oh, he asked to see the menu up close. Oh! How cute.”    “Nhai, you scared the kid.” The back of the shirt of the person who handed him the menu was softly and strangely pulled back, and Phii Nhai followed suit, easily sitting on the chair opposite him, and placing his hand on Phii Aai's neck.

Trust Phii Ton that these two are always together, ruffling at each other.

“What do you want to eat, Chon?”

“Anything delicious, what do you want?” I turned to ask Phii Ton, while adjusting the menu. When we were at Chonburi's place, they usually helped each other choose food when eating out. But when I looked up, I saw the beautiful eyes of Phii Aai, who seemed to know something good.

   “Finally, Ton. In the end...”

“What do you want, Aai? Are you infected by Nhai?”

“No, Aai said it like this first. I don't understand him like you, but it must be something good. Because he's the coolest hubby.”

“Finally.” Phii Aai finished speaking and lowered his face to focus on the menu in his hand. It's like he wants to care. He can talk if he wants, and he can pay attention if he wants. If he doesn't want to pay attention, he won't get involved at all.

It seems that he himself carelessly paid too little attention to his friend Phii Ton, until he didn't hear what Phii Ton asked. He was lightly beaten on the leg first. He just started to feel.

“Chon, what do you want to eat? I asked you three times.”

   “Um...this one is fine.”

“Our hearts are in agreement. Then two of this dish.” Phii Ton turned to order food from the menu, the same as mine. Then he talked to Phii Aai, who seemed to talk a lot only to his own friend and his lover, while Nhai asked questions that came in intervals.

What a person...ta...ta...he talks so smart!

   Chapter 08.

After dinner, Phii Ton took his usual position as he should. Deep down, he wanted to go back and rest, but Phii Nhai invited him to play football at the football field in the university. So Chon took the opportunity and followed along.    He had seen Phii Ton play basketball before, but he had never seen the other side play football.

And finally, Phii Ton parked the car near the field. The spotlights made his eyes sting before he could even get out of the car.    “Chon...check under the seat and find me some socks.”

“Have you washed them yet? I am not picking up dirty socks.”

“Damn it, I’ve washed them. I'm not as lazy as Nhai, but he doesn't get as clean as he used to be. Aai is too meticulous.”

“You're such a cute friend. I like it when Phii Aai talks casually with Phii Nhai. Oh... and I have to dig deep to find your socks.” He struggled to say, as he had to bend down and search for Phii Ton's socks.

“You try searching too. I can't remember where I put them.”

“Your car is like a black hole, but I think I found them.” He consolidated the soft fabric, which seemed to be socks, into one place. He straightened up a bit and noticed that Phii Ton was standing right above, smiling widely and leaning against the door with a stern face that seemed unwilling to step back.

Close, so close that they could feel each other's warm breaths.

“Phii Ton, please...” Chonlathee raised his hand to push away the wide chest. The proximity made his nose bump against the glasses lens, causing a slight dizziness.

   “What about the socks?”

“Here they are. Did you always have to keep your socks and shoes together in the car like this?” He shifted and sat leaning against the back, his heart still pounding in his left chest, unsure of what to do. However, he could at least take off his glasses and use his shirt to wipe them.

“Sometimes.”

“I brought a basket for you to keep your things. It's better than this. Next time, I'll bring a lens cleaning solution.” Two people spoke their sentences simultaneously, but the one who initiated the conversation didn't talk about himself. They played with the atmosphere in the car, making the conversation different from their usual playful talks.

It seemed embarrassing. The words felt weak and gentle.

“My friends have been waiting for a long time. I am going to get out of the car.”... And it was Phii Ton who changed the subject to break the strange atmosphere.

He couldn't play football, nor could he understand even as he watched it. So the only thing that made sitting on the long chair by the field not too boring was watching Phii Ton run on the field.

He continued to be infatuated and fell into the trap of love, almost like an anchor sinking on the other person's chest. His stern face held him in his gaze, not wanting to look away.

Why do I like you this much? I want it. I really want it.

   Huh!

He jolted when something cold touched his neck and snapped him out of his daydream. When he turned to look, he saw that it was a can of soda in Phii Aai's hand, while the other person held it waiting for him to take it.

   “Sit with you?”

“Yes. Phii Aai, don't you play football?”

“No. It's hot. Can I turn on the AC? If I can't, I'll open the window for you.” Aai said, raising his eyebrows in frustration. But when he saw the beautiful eyes looking at the can of soda, he understood and decided to open it himself to see if it could be opened.    “Chon, you like Ton, right?”    “Uh...” He couldn't deny it.

“Judging from the picture he posted, and the way your eyes looked at him, I don't think I'm wrong.” Phii Aai said casually, lifting the can of soda to drink. The rising and falling bubbles were charming, but don't be easily captivated, right? Because the eyes of the person walking towards them only cared about one person. He smiled and raised his eyebrows when he saw Phii Nhai stumbling but still laughing.

“Did you see it that clearly?”

“He's single. If you like him, try a little. It's not difficult, but it will not be easy either.”

“Phii Ton still doesn't know… That I like men.” He laughed softly, his eyes also following the tall figure of the person in the field.

   “That's stupid.”

“Just innocent... Phii Aai. Can I ask something? What did you mean by what you said at the restaurant?” Phii Ton's representative corrected himself before asking the question he was curious about.

“Go and confess to Ton first, then I'll tell you.”

“Oh, then I have no chance of knowing. Phii Ton wouldn't even care about me.” He sighed lightly, daring to talk to Phii Aai more as the other party smiled when he spoke.

“Why do you think that, that Ton doesn't care?”

“He sees me as just a younger brother. When Phii Ton visited the countryside, there was a chance for us to become close because I was there when he was heartbroken.”

“Chon, are you sure that Ton only sees you as a younger brother?”

“I'm sure.” He answered confidently. Before waiting for the faint smile on the handsome face to lift at the corner of his mouth, looking mischievous and enchanting.

“Then I apologize. I just wanted to make sure that in the end, it's really final...”

Chonlathee became so rigid that when Phii Aai leaned in closer, he saw a hint of challenge in those eyes. Before his long, slender fingers touched his cheek with a touch of uncertainty. And with a discreet counting in English in his throat.

   “One... two... three...”

“Aai! Can I have some water? My throat is dry.”

Phii Ton came to stand in front of the car. Just now, he was still far away.

“I didn't buy it for you. I bought it for Nhai and Chon.”

   “I am still your friend.”

   “Yep.”

It seemed as if Phii Aai heard a low laughter in his throat as he slowly moved away. There was nothing excessive about it. It wasn't an outbreak. Every precautionary action clearly indicated self-restraint.

“Phii Ton, are you thirsty? You can have mine. I'm not thirsty.” Chonlathee offered a can of soda, but the other side just waved it away.

“Are you not playing football anymore, Ton?”

“I'm tired. I'm not in a good mood today.”

“Then you should go back to sleep, Chon seems sleepy too.”

“Then you go on the field and play with Nhai instead of me. I'll take Chon back. C’mon Chon let’s go!” The can of soda in his hand was snatched away by Phii Ton, before it collided with Phii Aai's stomach who still had an unchanged smile. Moreover, he even leaned down and whispered near his ear.

   “Have confidence in yourself.”

   “What?”

   “Quickly, Chonlathee!”

“Yes.” His wrist was grabbed by a thick hand and was urged to follow by dragging.

The tense atmosphere started from inside the car, until it spread till they reached inside of the room. Chonlathee noticed that Phii Ton was asking questions. Moreover, the tall guy eyebrows were frowning and skewed to the point that they were almost touching each other.

“Phii Ton, where can I plug in my hairdryer?” The pink hair dryer cord was pulled up and placed in front of the person sitting on the phone on the sofa outside. Phii Ton raised his head to look, then pointed to the three-pronged socket on the rectangular table in front of them, meaning...you can plug it in here.

“What are you doing, Phii Ton?”

   “Watching Instagram.”

“Can I follow you? What's your username?” He plugged in the hairdryer and sat down on the floor, leaning against the backrest of the sofa. He hadn't started blow-drying his hair yet, but he grabbed his phone and looked at Phii Ton's mobile screen.

   “No, I have secrets here.”

“I really want to know, please let me follow your account.” He raised his eyebrows and looked up at the phone being held up high by Phii Ton's long arm, but his determination faltered when Phii Ton showed no sign of lowering the phone to show him. “Okay. If you don't want to follow, then don't follow.”

“So, what did you talk about with Aai?”

“Just general stuff.” He shifted and sat up on the sofa next to the taller person, trying to move a bit to make their bodies touch, and was surprised when Phii Ton didn't move away.

   “I'm jealous...”

“...Jealous of me?” He pointed at himself, his face clearly showing confusion when he heard Phii Ton's answer, but before he could think too much about it, Phii Ton's explanation made him understand something better.    “I'm possessive. I don't like it when someone I'm close to gets close to someone else. Aai is taking away my friend, and you too. Don't be friends with him. Don't find him attractive. But if you just talk casually, it's okay.” Phii Ton looked away while speaking. Before extending his hand to pick up the hairdryer on the rectangular table and slid the power switch to the highest level before lifting it to blow on his face.

   “It's hot...”

“Come here. I'll blow dry your hair for you.”

“Why are you so nice today, to blow my hair for me.”

“I already told you, I'm possessive. I have to be nice to you. Because otherwise, you'll be better off with someone else than with me.”

“I don't like anyone more than Phii Ton.” He lay down on the chest of the taller person, feeling safe. Before he could respond, the loud sound of the hairdryer and the hot air blew on his head.

   “Phii Ton, you're the best.”

“I know.” He sneakily looked at the tip of the chin and the wrinkle of the person who seemed determined to blow his hair, a feeling that was difficult to explain. Just when he looked enough, his heart fell to sleep. Confused about Phii Ton's actions... but had to admit that it felt really good.

   “Your face looks dazed.”

“Well Bebe Phii Ton is the best.” Forget every thought. Not wanting to be attached to the status of their relationship. Just wanting to use this important time together.

Just enough for the little heart to skip a beat. Cherishing every happy memory.

About a week before classes started, Chonlathee had to participate in the activity of welcoming new students, which wasn't much besides sitting in an air-conditioned room and listening to the rules and regulations. Then he introduced himself to the new friends.

He secretly thought that the activity could be boring. Because mostly it was about listening to rules and regulations. He wasn't someone who easily adapted to new environments, and on top of that, he was quite outstanding since high school. This resulted in him being surrounded by both seniors and classmates.

However, Chon prefers to be with female friends more than males. At the very least, female friends just ask for his contact number. There were no further questions like, “Chon, do you have a girlfriend or not?”

“Who came to pick you up earlier?” The little girl who was about the same height as him. No makeup, long hair let loose. She greeted him immediately upon arrival. This person is Jin. As for the person with shorter hair sitting quietly next to her, that's Dada. Jin and Dada have been friends since their old school. Chon got to know them through a matchmaking activity. Jin ran over to matchmake him for a reason, that she thought he was cute.

It was immediately evident that she is a friend who is a girl.

   Yes...

“A big brother.” He answered and sat down beside me.

“Do you have a big brother? Yesterday, you said you were an only child.”

“He's my neighbor. We live in the same dormitory. He came to pick me up.

He is a Third Year.”

   “Our faculty?”

   “No.He is studying Aviation.”

“Wow! That faculty is for rich kids. The tuition fee is very expensive. Chon, you are impressive. You know cool people in that faculty.”

“But studying Management isn't good in any way. Rich kids are all over the place.” Chon frowned at his friend's words. This path is wealthy... He didn't intend to show off, but he had to understand his family's financial situation. He had to focus on studying to eventually manage the business that his mother plans to expand in the future.

“Yes, but Aviation has fewer people, and most of the graduates have good jobs. If you want to find someone in that faculty, let us know. We can check the people in that faculty and weed out the awful people.” Jin laughed, leaned forward, and looked a little embarrassed while speaking, “By the way, what is that person? Just in case we know him.”

   “Phii Ton, Tonhon.”

“He is in the same group as Phii Nhai, right? The guy with a scary face.”    “Jin, do you know Phii Ton and Phii Nhai too?” Chonlathee stopped looking at the people passing by, turned his gaze back to Jin, who seemed to know Phii Ton instead.

“Who doesn't know Phii Nhai? His picture is posted on the White Boy Page almost every day. He's the guy the whole world thinks is the handsomest. Recently, he got a boyfriend and they became a FC thing. Because he has a handsome boyfriend, but Phii Aai looks indifferent no matter how much effort he puts in.” Jin raised her hand in the air, sighed, then continued speaking, “In conclusion, Chon, you are Phii Ton’s and Phii Nhai's friend. Actually, we like this guy a lot. He has very strong muscles, pierced ears and eyebrows, and tattoos. He's very cool.”

“He used to have a piercing in his mouth, but he took it out. He complained that his ex-girlfriend didn't like it.”

“In conclusion, we're the same person. Hey Chon. If we have group work, we want to be with you, Chon. We'll go to your classroom to work.”

“Let it be a matter of the future.” Chonlathee replied, half accepting, half resisting, preparing to grab his shoulder bag and walking into the meeting room on time, but his arm was pulled back.

“Why do you look suspicious? Don't tell me he is your boyfriend?”    “Hey! No, it's not.” he denied immediately.

“This red face must be because of a boyfriend.”

“No, really, Phii Ton likes girls, stop talking and hurry into the meeting room. If you go in late, you'll get scolded by the seniors.” He changed from being held by the hand to shaking his Jin’s wrist which was gesturing for him to get up instead. As for Dada, she didn't speak much, but seeing her drag Jin into the meeting room, she got up and followed, but silently.

Today's meeting seemed less boring than usual because tomorrow is the first day of the new semester. All the first-year students will have their own nameplates, and the senior class will also come to choose their juniors.    He wasn't excited about this, but seeing others excited made him reluctantly excited too.

“Chon, why does your nameplate have a heart shape at the end? Who wrote it for you?”

“I don't know, does anyone else have it?” He stretched his neck to look at Dada's nameplate, then turned to look at his friends sitting in front. Before realizing that no one else had a heart-shaped end to their names.

“Do you have a secret admirer?”

   “Are you crazy?”

“If you do, keep it to yourself. Don't let it disappear for a month.” The voice of the senior from the front made him stop paying attention to others and instead start hanging his recently obtained nameplate around his neck.    “Today, the seniors will choose their Star and Moon, then the person who will become the popular vote of the year, and we are honored to have the former Moon from the Second Year help in the selection. The moon batch is represented by senior Kaanliu. As for the most handsome guy next to him, it's

Phii Neung who just got his university degree last year.”

Chonlathee looked at the person who was recommended from the moon batch and then stopped at the previous moon who he had been looking at.    “Chon, Nueng winked at you. We've seen him on the page many times, he's really handsome, a million times.”

“Um...” Chonlathee made an awkward face and tried to avoid the teasing. So that guy is Nueng? He is handsome, but he doesn't like guys who look arrogant and wear makeup.

He likes guys who are mature like Phii Ton...looks like a bad boy like Phii Ton...kind-hearted like Phii Ton.

In summary, he likes Phii Ton...just him.

“Chon, you don't seem excited, but you are cute. You must have people approaching you like this often.”

“There are some. Do you want to compete for the Star? I can nominate you.” He changed the subject, too lazy to pay attention to who wants to approach him.

“No!” Jin protested with a shaking head, but as Kaanliu walked over and stood staring at Jin for a moment, he ordered Jin to leave the room and stand outside with several other attractive girls.

Chon really wanted to know if he would have friends who were stars.    The selection process for Moon and Stars took almost half an hour and finally ended with Dada walking back in and sitting down, only to be scolded by Jin for talking too softly, but it seemed like Dada didn't mind. As she left, she smiled brightly, her face not showing any signs of sadness like when she was called to stand in front of the room.

“Alright, quiet down. From now on, it's very important. Because we will choose the person who will fight for the Popular vote. Our faculty has never had this position, but we believe we must definitely get it this year.” The senior girl, like in a group of angel girls, spoke loudly through the microphone. If he wasn't mistaken, it seemed like the older girls were looking at him.

“I think she's looking at Chon.” Jin confirmed once again.

“I pray it's not what you think...”

“Nong Chonlathee, we have decided that we will not vote but choose you instead, so please come out in front of the room.”    Damn, Chon swore under his breath.

“Uh... does anyone have any objections?” She didn't manage to hide her emotions, only managing to ask the question and sweeping her eyes around the room.

Silence. Only the gaze pushed him to stand up and follow the order.      Chon discreetly let out a big breath, walking straight out of the room, attempting to avoid it, and in the midst of walking, she still saw one of the seniors smile at her. She could tell they wanted a relationship she didn't want to engage in.

Fortunately, he acted normal when entering university. In the end, Chonlathee escaped the chaos.
