ETF X-Ray is a small project I built to make ETF holdings easier to understand.

Instead of just seeing a fund name and expense ratio, you can look inside an ETF and see what companies it actually owns, how much overlap it has with other ETFs, and how its holdings break down by size, geography, and sector. I’m keeping the core tool free because I think this kind of visibility should be easy to access. Why support ETF X-Ray?

ETF X-Ray is free to use, but it still has real costs underneath: AI coding tools, development trackers, domain registration, hosting, data cleanup, and plenty of human time spent fixing weird tickers, improving the UI, and responding to feedback.

The good news is that ETF data changes slowly, so I’m intentionally keeping the project lightweight: cached data, infrequent refreshes, and no unnecessary expensive infrastructure.
