On July 5th we set up a table where we gave out snacks, water, narcan, and information about the constitution.
Why was this important here? Because this is where they want to reopen a former corecivic private prison to be run by geogroup to be “Bighorn Detention Facility”. A concentration camp. The town is so small and deep in a red county. So we came with the constitution, constitutional facts, surveys, and lawsuits. We talked to them where they were and hopefully moved some.
Still recovering funds from some out of pocket. Didn’t need the lantern so the goal is down to $25/75 for this event.
