Always Under Construction

The above photo was taken before sunrise or after sunset, I don't remember which, looking east into the Atlantic Ocean at Mirlo Beach in Rodanthe, NC in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy. In the dim light of the day all that remains of my claim is the single piling in the middle of the photo and the memories of the vacation home owner and doubtless many holiday tenants. Was building on the precipice of the abyss worth the risk or was it sheer ergodidiocy? Only the stake holders can truly say.

First the Truth.

The Bible says we are gods (with a little 'g'), John 10:34 “Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, "I said, "Ye are gods""?"” ...

then the Ergodidiocy,

... but I'll be the first to tell you, while we are all no doubt expert in some things, most of us are prone to errors—perhaps even sins, though they are usually forced errors, of course—even in things at which we should be most expert, and this means most souls are error-prone-gods—'ergods’. Again, since I'm the first to tell you this, based on my vast experience and expertise and the fact that I am the author of this site, that makes me Ergod1, and since most of us are idiots—amateurs—in at least a few things, while still getting to opine on all of the things that we know we are really good at, that makes me an ergodidiot. And since I have a tendency to put a mathematical spin on most things, all things being equal, that means I'm Ergod1=ergodidiot.

That, of course, makes me pretty good at knowing when I am engaging in Ergodidiocy and when I am just being the average expert and speaking the Truth, so I thought it would be a good time to hang out my shingle. Cheap advice here and now. Free advice wherever and whenever you can find it.

Truth & Ergodidiocy is the correct order of understanding things. Without starting with this truth—that we are souls, that we are gods—it will be difficult for many of us to come to terms with how any of the idiocy we face in this life and times comes to pass. But in order to come to that understanding, we must first try to cut through enough of that idiocy to get a glimpse of the light at the end of the tunnel and understand that it is not a train coming.

Ergodidiocy & Truth. Perhaps a little light of its own along the way.
