🕯 Dear Future Husband 🕯

🕯 Dear Future Husband 🕯

Oct 22, 2025

Not a fantasy, not a fairytale—just a promise. A real one.

Dear future husband,

I don’t need grand gestures, I need presence.
Admire me, affirm me, remind me you see the effort I pour into the everyday.
Because when you do, I’ll return it tenfold—love amplified, laughter multiplied.

I’ll be your ride or die,
your soft landing and your partner in mischief.
We’ll laugh until we snort water,
curl up in bed on lazy weekends,
and exist in that quiet kind of joy that doesn’t need to be documented to be real.

I’ll notice the small things—the way you hum when you’re focused,
the coffee mug you always reach for,
the moments that make up a life.
And I’ll keep them magical.

When storms come, I’ll keep a cool head.
My social work training taught me how to navigate chaos,
to hold space and stay grounded.
I’ll do that for us.

Yes, I’ll make messes—tiny experiments, flour on the counter,
paint where it shouldn’t be—but they’ll always mean we’re living.
I’d rather sweep joy off the floor than live sterile and safe.

Just promise to show up.
Be present. Listen.
Tell me when I’m spiraling, and I’ll pull back.
Trust that I’ll do the same for you.

Fair warning, love—
once the link is sealed, I cling like a koala.
You’ll have to let me know when you need space.
And I’ll give it, because I’ll know you’ll come back.

No crowns, no pedestals.
Just two people choosing each other, every ordinary day.
