Autumn Medley Play-Along Manipulatives | PowerPoint + PDF

Help your students get ready to move, read rhythms, and make music with the Autumn Medley Body Percussion and Movement Play-Along!

These PowerPoint and PDF manipulatives provide rhythm patterns to review before performing with the video. Display the patterns for whole-class practice, invite students to lead a movement, or assign patterns to small groups to practice and teach.

Use the resources to:

• Review quarter notes, eighth notes, half notes, whole notes, quarter rests, and dotted-quarter-note–eighth-note patterns.
• Connect rhythm notation with body percussion and movement.
• Prepare students to transfer the patterns to classroom percussion instruments.
• Support a fall music activity centered on leaves and cooler weather, without Halloween or pumpkin references.
