The average Palestinian family needs over £400 a week just to get by. This is because the cost of tents, transport to flee danger zones, medication, food, firewood is insanely expensive, and often two or 3 families are crammed into one tent.

Thankfully the prices have come down a little bit. Not a single friend in Gaza has had any help from charities to get tents or food, the competition for aid is fierce, even before the illegal blockade from March onwards. Many friends go days without eating, and getting winter clothes are out of the question, so it's very difficult indeed, especially for children and elderly. I can afford roughly £120 a month, sometimes more, sometimes less - I want to give every penny I can afford because their relief is my own relief. I've been doing this for over a year, and I'd love your financial solidarity and camaraderie within what's realistic for you.
