It's my birthday! I have painted 37 small pieces on paper in celebration of my 37th birthday, and they are available to my friends, family, and collectors on a pay-what-you-may basis. Simply click GET THIS and change $5 to the amount of your payment!
The paintings can been seen in their full glory at my website or on instagram; they are 5x7-inch works on paper, featuring a Prussian Blue mono-palette with metallic copper accents. Each of the 37 pieces is entirely unique! These pieces are sold matted and framed.
What's the logic behind Pay What You May? I believe in art being accessibly priced, while also being able to pay my bills as a disabled artist.
-If your budget permits you to pay what I would regularly charge for a 5x7-inch work on paper (approximately $75-85, depending on matting, framing, etc.), then pay what you may afford.
-If your budget is tighter, pay enough to cover shipping (probably $5-8, depending on region of the U.S. and other factors).
-If you would like to participate in community care, you can pay more than the estimated "value" of the painting, which allows those who are paying at accessibility prices to have access to the art pieces, and still allows me to cover costs, pay bills, eat, and pay for stuff. In the end, the art gets into hands of people who want it and I am a happy artist. Everyone wins!!
I am not going to second-guess anyone's purchase, at $5 or $500. This model is built on trust and mutual care. A huge shout-out to my friend Alexis for introducing me to this model.
