Five months ago I put a small thing on the internet called Pokor, and it's been quietly running ever since.
Pokor is planning poker - the ritual where everyone on a team picks a card for how big a piece of work is, and you all flip at the same time. Sounds trivial. It stops being trivial the moment the team is remote. The tools I kept ending up in were either a bare table that lost the session on refresh, or an enterprise product that wanted a seat licence for every person in the room, including the four people who were only there to listen.
So I built the version I wanted.
What it does
Open a room, share the link, vote. Every card stays hidden until the reveal, so nobody anchors on whoever spoke first. When the spread comes back wide, that's the useful signal - you talk about it, then re-vote. Guests join with a display name and no account at all.
Then it goes a bit further:
Pull your backlog straight from Jira, Notion, GitHub or a CSV - and write the agreed estimate back where it came from, so nobody re-types numbers into a ticket afterwards.
Async mode, for when the meeting isn't worth it. Open a vote window - an hour, a week - Slack and Discord nudge people partway through, and it reveals itself when the window closes. Timezones stop being a scheduling problem.
Retrospectives and analytics: consensus rate, which stories the team quietly disagreed about, which ones went fast, what needed a second round.
An AI assistant that suggests an estimate with its reasoning, explains why the votes diverged after a reveal, and drafts acceptance criteria for a thin story. Every AI action costs exactly one credit - no per-feature pricing games.
Slack and Discord slash commands, outgoing webhooks, and a REST API if you want to wire it into something of your own.
Every screen built and tested against WCAG 2.1 AA - screen reader, keyboard-only, reduced motion. That one is non-negotiable for me.
What it costs
Voting is free. Unlimited sessions, unlimited voters, unlimited spectators - that's the free plan, not a trial that expires. Only the person organizing the session pays: €5.99 a month, or €59.99 a year. That unlocks async mode, the integrations and write-back, exports, team features, and the full AI assistant.
I priced it so that a team of eight never has to open a procurement conversation about a card game.
Why the coffee
Pokor is one person. No team, no investors, no growth targets on a whiteboard. The servers, the WebSocket layer that keeps every room live, the AI credits people spend on the free plan - I cover all of it, and I'd like to keep the free tier genuinely free rather than slowly trimming it down into a demo.
