building easySSI — a free SSI payment & spending tracker for families
Hi, I'm Ron — I built easySSI (easyssi.com), a free tool that helps families, guardians, and representative payees track SSI payments and spending.
I made it because I'm a parent of a child with a disability who receives SSI, and I know firsthand how hard it is to keep the detailed records the Social Security Administration requires. After years of wrestling with spreadsheets and shoeboxes of receipts, I built the tool I wished existed — and made it free, because people managing public benefits shouldn't have to pay for another subscription.
easySSI has no ads, no premium tier, and no locked features. Everything — payment tracking, expense categories, household splits, reports, exports — is free for everyone, always.
But running it isn't free for me: cloud hosting, the database, the domain, and email delivery for account security all have real monthly costs. If easySSI has saved you time or stress and you can comfortably afford it, buying me a coffee helps keep it online and funds new features.
One important note: if you're an SSI recipient or payee managing a tight budget, please don't donate. SSI funds must go toward the recipient's needs — and this tool exists to help you, not to become another expense. Using easySSI for free is exactly what it's for. ❤️
