Sometimes life don’t move at the pace we want it to. We got plans, we got dreams, we got our own little timeline in our head… but then life? Life’s like, “Nah, we’re gonna do this on a whole ’nother schedule.” And boy, does that test your patience.
But what if that delay ain’t punishment? What if it’s grace?
See, that little passage I read today knocked me upside the head: “Things don’t unfold on your timeline because they are occurring on one that is far greater.” Read that again, slow. A far greater timeline. That means there’s something bigger at work than what we can see from our little porch view of the world.
Sometimes we dream small ‘cause our self-perception is cracked. We settle for what we think we deserve instead of what God’s been holding for us all along. And when that light finally breaks through after you’ve been sitting in the dark so long? Yeah, it can burn. It can sting your eyes. But it’s still good.
And maybe just maybe life (or better yet, God) is trying to give us more than we’d ever dare to take for ourselves.
So here’s my challenge to you, from one friend to another: let it. Let that light hit your eyes. Let the good stuff come, even if it feels too big, too much, or too good to be true. Let’s walk this one out together, old school style.
