Welcome! We are a community of old students of S.N. Goenka dedicated to sharing the practice of Vipassana meditation in the Dominican Republic. Our mission is to establish a stable, peaceful, and supportive environment where more people can experience the profound benefits of this ancient technique.

Our Vision: A Home for Dhamma

The establishment of a dedicated meditation center is a vital step in making Vipassana available to all who seek it. A permanent facility provides the security and serenity needed for serious practice. Our vision is to build such a center in carefully planned stages, ensuring a strong foundation for the growth of Dhamma for generations to come.

Our path forward is laid out in four distinct phases:

Phase 1: The Dhamma House: Establishing a local, non-residential space for daily group sittings and introductory sessions.

Phase 2: Non-Center Courses: Organizing 10-day residential courses using rented or donated facilities.

Phase 3: Land Acquisition: Securing a permanent piece of land for a future center.

Phase 4: Permanent Construction: Building the meditation hall, residences, and facilities needed for year-round courses.

Supporting Our Vision Through Dāna

In keeping with the non-commercial tradition of Vipassana, this effort is supported entirely by dāna—donations given from the heart. Your support, whether it's the cost of a single coffee or a recurring contribution, is a direct expression of this beautiful practice.

Please consider any suggested amounts merely as a guide. The practice of dāna is most powerful when it is in line with one's individual capacity to give. The amount is secondary to the wholesome volition behind the act, and what truly matters is the pure wish: "May others have the opportunity to benefit from the Dhamma as I have."

Every contribution made here goes directly toward funding our phased development plan. These are not memberships and come with no material benefits. The only benefit is the deep satisfaction that comes from protecting and nurturing the Dhamma, ensuring it is available for all who seek it in the future.
