CHAPTER 25 – Noah The Agent Manager
At the backstage of the beauty pageant, the chaos and noise level drops drastically when Zayden steps in with his agent and Joey in tow.
The contestants and backstage employees all ogle at the strapping hunk, the handsome to almost beautiful stud and heck, even the agent is a handsome stud with a sexy fit body.
Zayden takes his seat in front of the mirror for the make-up artist to touch up his already flawless face, while his eyes are fixated at Joey and oblivious to the surrounding.
“Oh my my, who is this beautiful young boy I am seeing? Never see you around, darling.” The make-up artist asks out loud with a wink at Joey.
Zayden looks at the make-up artist and interrupts impatiently; “He is my man, don’t you dare flirt with him like this again!”
Zayden’s manager’s jaws drop and he quickly butts in; “He is the new intern from publishing and has been assigned to understudy our hottest star. If there is any man in Zayden’s life, that will be me Noah, his manager!”
Georgina, the co-host for tonight’s beauty pageant, is at another corner having her luscious hair done up. Eyeing Zayden from the corner of her eye and overhearing the conversation, she signals her hairstylist to take a break and walks over to Zayden.
“Hey handsome! And oh hi, Joey right? Been a long time since we last met, what a surprise to see you here. Ah, my dear Noah, how have you been? Congrats on winning your war to wrangle our hottest star away from that woman, whatever her name is.” The fake sweetness of the old Georgina has now developed completely into an “in-your-face” straight-forwardness.
“Georgina! You looked ravishing! The only war I can’t win is to be your manager, that beast is one lucky bastard to be managing your career.” Noah returns the compliments and Joey notices Zayden looks away with a disgusted look before smiling at Georgina without saying anything.
Georgina slaps Noah on his hand lightly and looking at the hair stylist to say; “You heard it, right? I wasn’t the one to call my manager a beast. But then again, who wouldn’t love to have their career managed by the most influential manager representing all the hottest stars in the station?”
“I got to go back to have my hair done, running out of time.” Georgina continues saying and then bends down to give Noah a peck on his handsome face, flashing her ample cleavage.
When the make up artist finishes her work and leaves, Noah looks at Zayden admiringly; “You looked gorgeous! And please don’t go around saying this young man is your man. Rumors can kill your career without you even knowing it.”
Joey shoots Zayden a death stare when he is about to say something and he replies Noah with disinterest; “I am not bothered with that. By the way, I want Joey to be with me wherever I go during his assignment.”
“But.” Noah tries to protest but Zayden cuts him off; “No buts no ifs. Just do it.”
Noah and Joey watch the rehearsal backstage when Noah suddenly looks at Joey and say; “Ain’t he gorgeous? He is definitely going to be a much bigger star under my supervision. And come to think of it, you have great potential too. Ever thought of embarking on a career in the entertainment industry?”
Joey is taken aback by Noah’s sudden friendliness, as he has not spoken a single word to Joey since they met up in the morning until now.
“You are too kind. Entertainment is not for me.” Joey says politely.
Noah nods and says with a smile, “True, entertainment industry is not for everybody. There are just a lot of distractions and sacrifices to be made. The first sacrifice is never to acknowledge a relationship so we keep on feeding the fans’ imagination. I am sure Zayden knows that very well.”
Zayden and Joey meet Enzo and Hank for dinner after the rehearsal, and Joey is telling them about his conversation with Noah and describing Noah’s physical attributes to Hank and Enzo.
“Noah? The way you describes him makes me feel I might know him. Does he have a swan tattoo on his chest?” Hank asks.
Enzo shoots a fierce look at Hank, he asks; “And how would you know about the tattoo? How many topless men have you been spying on?”
“Come on, do I even need to spy on other men when I am this good? Not forgetting I already have the hottest man in my life, sorry Joey you are now second on my list.” Hank quips.
Rolling his eyes, Enzo presses on; “You still haven’t answer my question about how you know of the tattoo?”
Reaching out to hold Enzo’s hands tightly, Hank replies; “A few models I have worked together with kept discussing about their sexual rendezvous with a hot stud that is an agent manager with the TV station and they identified Noah as the man with that swan tattoo on the chest. Feedbacks about his skills are good though, just saying.”
“Then it must be the same Noah we are talking about, I saw his tattoo earlier in the backstage changing room when he changes into his singlet to head to the gym after the rehearsal.” Zayden confirms.
Enzo also chips in; “Definitely seems like his promiscuous habits are no secrets. I have heard about this Noah from my team as well, many of them are infatuated with his good looks and sexy built but it would seem he only goes for good lookers outside the conglomerate.”
Looking at Joey, Zayden says; “Be it he beds people outside the organization or not, you are not to be with him alone at any time. You are not to be out of my sight from tomorrow onwards.”
“And shouldn’t I worried about you then? He is your agent; he will be with him much more often than me. I will be out of the picture once we have enough materials for Enzo to write your article.” Joey retorts.
With a confident look, Zayden replies; “Well, I am going to use what Hank just said. I already have the hottest man in my life and he holds the only key to my heart so what’s there to worry about? He is not even close to as sexy and beautiful as my man.”
Hank claps his hands loudly at Zayden’s declaration but both Enzo and Joey look at each other speechless. Letting out a deep breath, Joey says; “Quit stealing the dialogue from your script. It’s plagiarism.”
Stepping out of the gym shower room to walk to his locker, Noah notices a muscular man making lewd gestures at him from the first shower room but ignores him.
Noah is well aware of the many glances spying on his well-sculpted body as he is drying himself by the locker when his phone rings. He takes a look at his phone and sees that the call is from Georgina.
“Hey beautiful, what a surprise to hear from you. Are you calling with good news that you have split ways with that beast?” Noah says.
Letting out a coy laugh, Georgina replies; “I am afraid that’s not what you will be hearing from me, at least not yet. But I do have something interesting to share with you. Shall we meet for a drink in an hour’s time?”
Stepping into the skybar on the 36th floor of a six star hotel, Georgina’s beauty is accentuated with the sexy Dolce and Gabbana dress and attracts all the attention from the men when she walks in the club.
Noah who is chatting with another handsome dude at a corner table, signals to Georgina when he sees her and turning to the handsome man to pass him a room key, he says to him; “Clean yourself properly and wait for me naked on the bed, I should be down in less than an hour.”
Seeing the handsome man walks away, Georgina orders her favourite drink, dirty martini, and says to Noah; “So it’s true what I heard about our great Noah, who doesn’t waste a single minute.”
“And if you have heard from the right source, you would also know I don’t bed men from within the conglomerate so when I sees a good grade man outside, of course I am not letting him go without me taking a bite.” Noah says.
Waiting for the waitress to leave after serving Georgina her dirty martini, Noah asks; “So what are we going to talk about, Georgina? Must be interesting that we can’t talk on the phone.”
“I always know our handsome Noah is someone with both brains and brawns. I am just concerned whether your latest sign-on has been honest with you?” Georgina asks.
Looking at Georgina curiously, Noah counters; “Are we talking about Zayden? What should I know about him?”
Taking a sip of her dirty martini, Georgina goes straight to her point; “That intern we saw today, he is Zayden’s boyfriend. Hasn’t Zayden told you about him?”
Not looking at all surprised, Noah asks; “And why are you telling me this?”
“I know you have fought so hard to be Zayden’s manager and he is now the hottest up and coming star in the station so you must have a lot of hopes on him. I hate to see you being blindsided and not knowing the truth to manage his career better.” Georgina says and caresses Noah’s hand with her slender fingers.
Smiling at Georgina, Noah retracts his hands and says; “Unlike your beast, this doesn’t work on me but I appreciate the little piece of information.”
Not giving up, Georgina continues; “That intern is too sneaky for Zayden’s good. I wouldn’t want you to be taken in by his sweet good looks so I have to let you know.”
“I know. I know everything Georgina. That sweet young boy is no match for me.” says Noah.
Getting up to leave, Noah bends over to kiss Georgina on her cheeks before whispering in her ears; “I also know what is going on between you and that beast. Unlike me, he bed his artistes.”
Leaving the hotel early next morning, Noah makes his way with the driver to Zayden’s posh apartment to pick him up for a magazine shoot. He also makes a few calls along the way.
Noah is surprised to see Joey stepping out of the lobby together with Zayden. Stepping out of the Mercedes-Benz Vito Tourer with a smile, Noah looks at Joey and says; “You are early, aren’t you?”
“Joey lives with me.” Zayden removes his Gentle Monster sunglass and answers Noah.
Not backing away, Noah presses; “Anything else I should know as well then?”
Holding Joey’s hands, Zayden says; “Joey is my boyfriend if you must know.”
The three of them do not speak a single word on the journey to the photo shoot. Arriving at the studio, Enzo steps out to welcome them.
“Right on time. Is our Joey doing fine so far?” Enzo asks Noah with a smile.
Noah looks at Zayden and Joey before answering Enzo; “Way too fine. You have sent an angel to us.”
Not realizing the sarcasm from Noah, Enzo replies; “Lovely. I have high hopes on Joey to collate all the information I need for the article.”
Noah steps out to answer a call midway through the photo shoot and when he returns, he signals Enzo to talk in a corner.
“I just received a piece of good news that Zayden has been selected for a co production with our overseas partner so he will leave immediately after the beauty pageant next week. This is a very important project so I need to focus fully on Zayden when we are overseas, Joey will not be able to come along with us.” Noah drops the bombshell.
