You Cannot Fall Again Unless You Got Back Up!
The Righteous Are Not Identified by Never Falling They Are Identified by Refusing to Stay Down
Proverbs 24:16 (AMPC) “For a righteous man falls seven times and rises again, but the wicked are overthrown by calamity.”
Read that carefully.
The righteous man falls.
Scripture does not say righteousness means you will never stumble, never fail, never make a terrible decision, or never find yourself on your knees wondering, “How did I get here again?”
Here is what struck me, YOU CANNOT FALL AGAIN UNLESS YOU GOT BACK UP!
Understand this, the righteous man falls seven times because he keeps rising!
He fell - and got up. He stumbled - and got up. He failed - and got up. He cried - and got up. He repented - and got up. He was ashamed - and still got up!
The enemy wants to convince you that falling disqualifies you, however Christ is calling you to repent and rise.
There is a massive difference between falling into sin and making peace with sin. Grace is not permission to lie comfortably on the ground, God’s grace calls you back to Christ.
So when you fall, RUN TO JESUS!
And while you are running to Christ, do not hand people authority that belongs to Christ!
Do not allow people to take the worst moment of your life and make it your permanent identity. Do not allow someone to use your fall to judge you, deny what God is doing in you, or stand on top of your failure to make themselves appear more righteous.
Some people will point at the dirt on your clothes while conveniently forgetting the dirt Christ washed off theirs, or een the first that he hasn't washed yet.
Receive godly correction. Accept accountability. Repent where repentance is necessary. Then GET UP!
Your failure does not become someone else's platform for self-righteousness.
Do not hide from Christ like Adam. Do not allow shame, or the opinions of people, to convince you that you must clean yourself up before coming home.
REPENT! CONFESS IT! TURN FROM IT! RUN TO CHRIST! GET BACK UP!
Stop allowing Satan, or people, to use yesterday's fall to keep you from standing today.
You may have fallen seven times.
GET UP EIGHT!
Question For Today
Have you mistaken your fall for the end of your walk with Christ, or will you repent, get back on your feet, and prove that the enemy still cannot keep you down?
