🩸 IT STARTED WITH ONE DONATION - NOW WE WANT TO DO SOMETHING BIGGER
Dominion Renaissance Ministries Blood Drive Initiative
A few months ago, I gave blood through the American Red Cross.
I went there to donate.
I left there changed.
There was something incredibly moving about realizing that something my body could replace could potentially be used to help another human being in a moment when they desperately needed it.
I couldn't simply forget that experience.
And eventually, a question began growing in me;
What if we could get others to give too?
That question has now become action.
Dominion Renaissance Ministries is beginning the process of sponsoring a blood drive in Buffalo, New York, with a vision to reach beyond Buffalo.
And over the coming weeks, I am going to be talking about it.
Not because we need another program.
Not because we need another ministry event.
Because people need blood.
People we may never meet.
Families we may never know.
Children, mothers, fathers, grandparents, accident victims, surgical patients, and people fighting serious illnesses.
And sometimes helping another human being begins with simply being willing to give something of ourselves.
Jesus said, “And the King will reply to them, Truly I tell you, in so far as you did it for one of the least [in the estimation of men] of these My brethren, you did it for Me.” Matthew 25:40 AMPC
🩸 RIGHT NOW, WE ARE ASKING FOR ONE SIMPLE THING
Please complete our Blood Drive Interest Survey.
This is NOT a commitment to donate blood.
We are simply trying to determine how many people would be interested in participating as we begin planning this initiative.
TAKE THE INTEREST SURVEY HERE:
https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSez-KqsP3PJ7KQ5q-cOXEtjB_fxMv0tiRqMEB5ZyLenZIt_fQ/viewform
And even if you cannot personally donate blood, you can still help us.
Send it to your family.
Send it to your church.
Send it to your coworkers.
Send it to your organization.
Send it to someone who may be willing to roll up their sleeve.
THIS IS ONLY WEEK ONE
Over the coming weeks, we are going to continue talking about the need, the people behind that need, the impact one donor can make, and how Dominion Renaissance Ministries intends to put our faith into action.
Because ministry cannot only be about what we say.
Sometimes ministry means rolling up our sleeves - literally.
Question For Today
Since a few minutes of your time and something your body can replace could help another human being in a moment when they desperately need it, why wouldn't you at least consider giving?
