God Has a Plan, Are You Seeking the God Who Made It?
Stop Quoting the Promise While Ignoring the Pursuit
We love to quote Jeremiah 29:11 when life gets difficult. We declare that God has plans for us, plans for peace, welfare, and a future filled with hope. Praise God, He does!
Yet do not stop reading at verse 11!
Jeremiah 29:11-13 (AMPC) “For I know the thoughts and plans that I have for you, says the Lord, thoughts and plans for welfare and peace and not for evil, to give you hope in your final outcome. Then you will call upon Me, and you will come and pray to Me, and I will hear and heed you. Then you will seek Me, inquire for, and require Me [as a vital necessity] and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.”
God did not merely speak about His plans, He spoke about our pursuit!
Too many believers want God's plan without God's presence. We want the future He promised while giving Him whatever remains of our heart after the world, relationships, careers, entertainment, ambitions, and distractions have taken their share.
God says, “You will seek Me…as a vital necessity.”
That means God cannot merely be someone you call when your plan collapses. He must become the One you require to live!
And notice this, “when you search for Me with all your heart.”
Not halfhearted Christianity. Not convenient prayer. Not Sunday-only devotion. Not seeking His hand while ignoring His face.
ALL YOUR HEART!
Yes, God knows the plans He has for you. The question is whether you are seeking Him enough to walk in them.
Question For Today
Are you celebrating that God has a plan for your life while refusing to seek Him with the whole heart required to walk in it?
If You Have Ears To Hear, Then Hear It!
I pray for you each and every day.
All God's Best!
