I am creating a brand that is ment to support lower income families
I’m Miriam Mushombe. I’m fourteen years old, and I’m building a clothing brand that comes straight from my life and my experiences. I didn’t grow up with much. I’ve faced struggle, felt overlooked, and had to learn how to survive while still dreaming big. Through it all, one idea stayed with me to create something that truly represents people like me. That is how Drift City Wear was born. The problem is that most fashion brands focus on people who already have money and feel included. They target the middle class and wealthy because they think that is where the money is. But they forget the poor, the working class, and the young people trying to figure life out with little support. These are the ones who shape culture, influence music, and set trends. Yet they are rarely the ones being designed for. The solution is Drift City Wear. It is more than just clothing. It is a platform for identity, strength, and bold self-expression. I want to create clothes that empower those who feel ignored whether they come from housing projects, small towns, foster care, or other forgotten places. This is not about luxury or hype. It is about real people, real voices, and real power. The market is vast and underserved. Drift City Wear is for the kids growing up too fast, single mothers, dreamers, and low income communities. It is for those building something from nothing, those who don’t get the spotlight but deserve to wear clothes that reflect who they are not just where they hope to go. Why me? Because this brand is my story. It is born from what I have lived. I don’t have a team or a trust fund, but I have grit and creativity. I have taught myself everything from design to strategy. I’ve already created brand visuals, mockups, and a growth plan. I am ready to work harder than anyone to make this brand succeed. What I need is someone who believes in people and stories more than just products. I am looking for mentorship, investment, and partnership to bring Drift City Wear to life. I want to build a community, not just a company. My vision is for Drift City Wear to become a powerful voice for the overlooked a brand that grows beyond clothing to inspire pride, confidence, and change. This is only the beginning. Drift City Wear is raw, real, and ready. If you want to be part of something honest and bold something that speaks for millions who have been silent too long then let’s build this together.
