About Dress of Fire
Dress of Fire is an audacious new play by Nina Kethevan that asks what it means to speak truth to power—and what it costs. This intimate, ensemble-driven work explores themes of agency, defiance, and the complicated choices we make when our lives hang in the balance.
Written entirely within Nina's original text and demanding authentic ensemble collaboration, Dress of Fire features an exceptional cast including Jessica Phillips, Lena Pepe, and Tom Nelis, with one additional company member to be announced. Under the direction of Mindy Cooper, the play comes alive as a salon-style theatrical experience—a format that creates genuine intimacy between the performers and audience.
This November, Dress of Fire presents a free public salon event:
Friday, November 20 | Meaux Space, 305 7th Avenue, 17th Floor, Manhattan (Chelsea)
The evening features a 20-minute excerpt reading followed by a candid discussion panel exploring the play's themes and their urgent relevance in 2026.
