ΠΡΠ΄ΠΎΠΌΠΎΡΡΡ Felix MacLaine
Hunting for whisky gems and shouting about my finds
As it says over at Dramface:
"Felix arrives on Dramface shores blaming everything on a glass of Cask Strength Laphroaig. In what might have otherwise been a Damascene conversion, he unfortunately spent the next ten years as a Laphroaig-or-nothing snob.
Through a second peaty glass, a Lagavulin no less, the scales fell from his eyes and heβs since spent over two decades atoning for his blinkeredness, to the point of deliberately pursuing, and landing, whisky-themed jobs. These days, with not insignificant experience of the workings of whiskyβs behind-the-scenes, Felix comes to Dramface with a wealth of boozy knowledge. Weβre here for every drop."

Tasting through some samples from indies today, we came to a seventeen year old Auchroisk from newish bottler Whisky Craft . Retailing at around the Β£100 mark, it's not what you'd call an impulse buy. It's described as having been reracked into ex Polo Cortado sherry casks, which is promising, but the reality was rather confounding. I've enjoyed the great majority of Palo Cortado finished whiskie...
