Hi, I'm Yolanda!

I'm a bilingual birth doula, childbirth educator, family life educator, and community advocate serving families across Alabama through Aware Birth and Beyond.

I believe every family deserves compassionate, evidence-based support—regardless of their language, background, or income. Whether I'm teaching childbirth classes, supporting a birth, helping with breastfeeding, or connecting families with local resources, my goal is always the same:

To help parents feel confident, informed, and never alone.

A large part of my work happens behind the scenes. I create free educational materials, translate resources into Spanish, answer questions from families who aren't sure where to turn, mentor new birth workers, and build community programs that strengthen maternal and infant health.

When I'm not supporting clients, you'll usually find me creating new educational content, building bilingual resources, networking with community organizations, or dreaming up new ways to make birth education more accessible.
