Hey guys and gals,
Always wondered what it was like to be a blogger (flashbacks from 2008), and now I have the opportunity to do so! I plan to write small entries for each release, so you all can get an idea of what's going on with the project.
I want to start with the future features that are going to be implemented sooner or later. In the backlog right now are:
Ability to search not only by name, but also by internal dominions id;
Generating only a map file, instead of a full zip (this will also reduce the generation time tremendously);
Ability to actually upload your own mods (this will probably be the most problematic);
Ability to select province defense type and terrain on the arena (maybe with a fancy UI or, most realistically, with a simple search box);
Find a good way to collect feature requests;
While this is a small list, the amount of work required to implement some of these will be... interesting.
As for the current release, it includes a few simple things:
Fix regular backend failures, because I was lazy and didn't clean up data properly before sending it to Redis (yes, "," could've caused a backend failure before);
Adding that fancy "Buy me a coffee button", that, probably, allowed you to see this post.
That's it for today, I hope you all have a nice week!
