I'm now trained to deliver trauma informed care (TIC)!
I am now working as a Certified Peer Specialist (CPS-MH) at a behavioral health hospital in the acute crisis unit where patients are stabilized for mental health or detoxed from substances or medications. My training is continued here for a whole week and also annually while here.
My CPS-MH certification requires ongoing training hours to keep it active. I plan to get certified in WRAP, WHAM and also CARES, so I can be a certified CPS-AD (certified peer specialist in addiction disease).
I hope to keep my training and education up to date so everyone I provide peer support to benefits!
