Discovering Pieria: A Taste of Home, Wherever You Are!

We are the team behind "Discovering Pieria," and we invite you on a journey filled with authenticity, beauty, and the warmth of patrida!

Through the eyes of Giorgos Apostolidis and Giorgos Gizelis, two "outsiders" with a fresh perspective, experience Pieria like never before.

We make unannounced visits to the villages, chat with the horiani, uncover the region's culinary secrets, and share the vibrant atmosphere of traditional festivals. It's a chance to reconnect with the places you love and remember the nostalgia of home.

Each episode is an adventure that demands time, effort, and resources. From research and filming to editing, production, and social media management, creating each episode is a collective endeavor.

Why Support Us?

Our show airs on DION TV Central Macedonia every Saturday and Wednesday at 5:00 PM, Tuesday at 11:30 PM, and Friday at 5:00 PM, and is then uploaded to our YouTube channel, Olympus Media Productions.

The authenticity and spontaneity of our show require continuous effort and resources. But more than that, we want to make "Discovering Pieria" accessible to all Greeks, no matter where they are in the world.

Your support help us translate and add subtitles to our YouTube videos, so you can share the beauty and stories of Pieria with your family and friends abroad, and always feel connected to home. It will also enable us to continue creating quality content, exploring new places, and bringing you even more captivating episodes.
