The Discotheque concept was originally created in 2013. The back story to it comes from a deep interest in the emerging trend of "Listening Bars" and combine it with various elements from historic venues and legendary DJs. Since then until the launch to the public in 2023 there was a lot of research done, gathering tracks, finding special edition vinyl, making & finding edits, building up a very special music library that not only is true to the originals but also updated to fit into a more contemporary sound.

Discotheque became a way to explore many decades of music without falling into the same old tired names and clichés, and at the same time allowing to bring in all the new trends and songs that become popular.

We mix it all up, from different genres, the old and new through remixes or edits to close generation gaps and weave a sonic tapestry very unique with the widest appeal possible, but very much grounded in the roots of dance music and all the nostalgia and emotional triggers that come with it.
