Therefore it made sense that a pay wall that maintains my anonymity should be my gateway. This is where BMC entered the scene.
BMC was cheerio AF for obvious reasons. I'm a new creator on the platform, why dampen sales ever? I logged in and they connected me to Stripe for banking purposes. I put that link up to my Instagram by my same name and voila, one of supporters immediately sent me $30. This shit works, I said. I'm getting paid for the time I've invested in helping anxious minds ease their tensions and lead more productive lives. Imagining my happy sunsets, I put in an honest to heart withdrawal request for my first money here. And that's when the other shoe fell.
A platform that supports me by offering a pay wall for my supporters? Sounded too good already. Until my first support of 30 dollars was reduced to 19.5 after everything cut. Almost 40%, cruel right? I said you know what, I'm gonna get this money out and wipe that link off my page. No one makes 40% off my engagement. Ever. And that's when the villainy comes into play. You see, Stripe assumed that I sell sexual services and products. That I flout some community guidelines that they have no proof of. And so they block my payments despite my repeated explanations to their review system. Alright maybe I reviewed it once and was angry when I said what I said. But one has to be rather inexplicably dense and stupid in 2025 to assume that intimacy counseling is sex work, quite frankly. This is not rude, but facts. Sex education is not solicitation. And I'm not here to appease Stripe's prude conservative ideology of what's what because it could never prove that I used this platform to do anything that flouts its "community guidelines".
So I'll take my business somewhere else just as I'm entitled to. Precisely because BMC continues to block my refund to supporter requests simply because I put in a withdrawal request first which they would clearly never approve. I personally apologized to my supporter for creating a situation wherein they ended up losing money on my behalf while the only firm that keeps that money is BMC. Stripe is merely a front that transacts on its behalf anyway. Consider Stripe to be the bald henchman in a suit opening doors for the old, rickety but sleazy looking old money wearing BMC. Vivid? Thanks. So I've shared with you the situation as it is and remains.
Over 30 odd dollars, I just accidentally found out that BMC is a bigot. Thank you for my time, you've been as always a wonderful audience.
