Challenging the industry's definition of how a directing career is made — making divergent paths visible and connecting directors across levels. The theatre industry implies a blueprint of straightforward career progression, classing directors as "emerging," or "established.” But for many, that blueprint doesn't reflect reality.
Directors Pathway excavates what lies beneath — bringing working directors into honest conversation about how they built their practice, unveiling dysfunction within the system and breaking down barriers that make artistic development harder than it needs to be.
About The Creator & Host
Hi! I’m Kira. I’m a director, performer, acting coach, and theatremaker originally from the US Midwest, now based in London. My Directing practice has grown out of over a decade working in and around the theatre in various roles. I’ve been an actor, assistant stage manager, improvisor, costumer, facilitator - you name it!
The heart of my practice is creating curious, collaborative spaces where people can think, discover, connect, and act. Directors Pathway is just an extension of that impulse.
