Friends, I’m preparing to create my own modern Canterbury tale.
On July 26, I leave for England. A few days later, I will begin walking the historic pilgrimage route from London to Canterbury. This journey brings together so many things I love: literature, culture, history, storytelling, and meaningful travel.
Years ago, Geoffrey Chaucer’s The Canterbury Tales introduced readers to a lively group of travelers, each carrying a story of their own. Now, I will follow the road toward Canterbury and share what this ancient pilgrimage looks and feels like through the eyes of a modern Black and Latina woman over 50.
I’m inviting my community to become part of the story. Supporters will receive trail updates, behind-the-scenes moments, cultural discoveries, practical walking tips, personal reflections, and special recognition throughout the journey.
