Hello friends!

We Dozie. I'm a software engineer and aspiring indie bootstrapper who loves technology because it makes human life easier. I enjoy writing and sharing my tech and career insights, and I have a soft spot for supporting newcomers into the tech field, especially students transitioning from academia to the workplace.

I'm the creator of WeGoJapa, a now defunct private group which I ran to help friends and newbies who reached out to me to transition into tech and/or achieve our goals of relocating outside Nigeria. The group concluded after everyone achieved our goals, but with Patreon support, I hope to relaunch it for a wider audience. In my past life I mentored in Andela+Google run programs, and ran the QMUL AI and Robotics society for similar reasons of passion for technology.

I regularly share technical articles and helpful content through my technical blog dozie.dev, YouTube channel, and Indie Bootstrapper Twitter feed. In 2023, I founded The Phoenix Grant, an annual initiative supporting emerging professionals, particularly students facing career challenges. This grant was inspired by the support I received from Andela, my family, and kind strangers during my own difficult times.Your Patreon support will directly support my technical content creation and indie bootstrapping journey and you'll be supporting aspiring tech professionals, helping them launch successful careers.
