Hello, I'm Des. A couple years ago I started a journey of self-discovery and understanding. I sustained a traumatic injury a couple months after I was laid-off from an 8 year career in 2020. Thankfully I got a decent job with great coverage, unfortunately though, the doctors discovered significant damage. The initial injury resulted in 8 surgeries, then another 2 shortly after due to a skin graft becoming necrotic, and since last year I've had 3 more for a total of 13. I'm now on long-term disability with 60% pay. My salary is a few hundred dollars shy of covering living expenses each month. My job is in sales, and I'm unable to earn commissions while on disability. So anything helps, and I appreciate your support, even if all you can do is share and encourage others to share.
