I’m Désirée De La Mater, an artist, illustrator, and writer in Tucson, Arizona.

I make original paintings, storybook-style illustrations, expressive animals, odd little creatures, stickers, prints, and other things that come out of whatever I’m currently obsessed with making.

A lot of my work is connected to Ambergilt, the fictional island and story world I’ve been building through my art and writing. Some of it is funny, some of it is strange, some of it is a little dark, and ALL of it has a story behind it.

I use this page to share new work, works in progress, small releases, digital downloads, commissions, and things that may not make it into my regular shop.

If you like what I make and want to support me making more of it, you can buy me a coffee, pick up something from the shop, or become a member.

Thank you for being here and supporting independent artists.
