THEY REALLY FOUND A WAY TO RUB TRUMP’S NOSE IN IT

He is yapping about white South Africans being victims of genocide, and then a woman who has been fighting powerful people for committing real genocide wins—and she is South African.

_Navi Pillay, the South African judge with a laundry list of human rights cases under her belt, took a jibe at the current US president as soon as she heard she had won, saying: “If they applaud a little louder, maybe I’ll share the prize with [Donald] Trump.”

The poetry is writing itself, given that eight countries have since blasted the Trump administration for its knee-jerk, infantile reaction to Navi Pillay getting the Nobel Peace Prize (sanctions)…

The action, announced by Secretary of State Marco Rubio, blocks any ICC property within U.S. jurisdiction and prohibits American citizens, companies, and banks from engaging in transactions with the tribunal. It represents a significant escalation from prior measures that only targeted individual ICC judges and prosecutors.

ICC President Tomoko Akane speaks on the matter—ICC

The following countries have lashed out at the Trump administration:

  • Canada

  • Japan

  • Italy

  • The Netherlands (the court’s host country, which labelled the escalation “undesirable” and pledged to protect the ICC)

  • Denmark

  • South Africa

  • Mexico

  • Switzerland

  • Belgium

Left-wing blogger and podcaster Aaron Parnas sees great significance in the fact that Italy and Japan are part of this movement, because they are currently ruled by conservative parties.

But it is high time we stopped calling Trump a conservative, because everything in his past shows that he is not, and everything in the present shows that he is an uncouth individual governed by childlike, shallow-minded, selfish, and ignorant whims.

He and his administration are nothing more than a gang of organised, morally bankrupt, opportunistic liars who have found a pretty perch at the top of the Republican Party, which inturn, chose stolen valour and smuggled power over human (and, by their own book, Christian) principles.

They have knowingly traded what is right for what is wrong, to win.

These eight countries have shown that the world knows who he is, that he has crossed a line, and that he should be called out.

That then begs the question: when will the Republican Party put off its slumber and draw a line in the sand?

When are they going to throw down their flag for just long enough to say, This is enough: no more trading love-for-party for love-of-what-is-right?

This is as important as air is to life: It is vital to the continuation of democracy and the preservation of the Constitution in America.

Actually, forget the Constitution; it is fundamental to the American way of life, the same way of life Americans are so proud of. It is important for the freedoms that the collective South is so gung-ho about preserving with its gun rights if it comes to that.

Why is it so important that the Republican Party draw that line in the sand? And, more importantly, why is it important that it happen now? As in, right now?

Because the midterms are weeks away. How confident are you that the Democrats will win even one house?

Does Trump look desperate? Does he appear to be doing the desperate things you would expect him to if he feared he was going to lose?

To those of you who believed the Pennsylvania assassination attempt was a farce, what makes you think he will play fair this time around? (I am addressing the Democrats.)

I mean: Fetterman is just as good as a Republican, and the liberal side sees other betrayals that are tantamount to defections when they expect it least.

And that brings us to the question: What happens if this very powerful tyrant, with the spoiled demeanour of an abhorrent brat and the moral compass of a highwayman, wins again?

I’m talking about if the Republican Party wins. Because unless they see sense, Trump wins if they win.

I think that is what America needs to think about right now, and very seriously.

That is the reality Americans need to start considering because unless everyone gets serious, the sanctioning of an entire international organisation, ICE shootings, abuse of public and judicial instruments for the benefit of a few and even one, failed wars and the lies we have witnessed thus far, will look like a toothache.

Respect your country and get that man out of office.

Afterthought: Trump’s disappointment at not being named a laureate this year, a day after endorsing the livestreaming of a military execution, lends weight to the growing speculation about his sanity.
