If you’re reading this, thank you already. Stepping into this little corner of the internet is a huge part of a dream I’ve carried for a long time: creating a soft landing place for people like us. People who love animals, creativity, soul work, quirky humor, and those silver-lining moments that keep us going through life’s big chapters.

I’ve lived many chapters myself — adoptee searching for roots, single mom struggles, caregiver, creative, notary, pet sitter, and now the keeper of a dream called Sparrow Song Ranch. Through all of it, I’ve become someone who gently insists on hope. Someone who puts on their “positive hat” even when it wobbles. Someone who believes that purpose, creativity, compassion, and nature can carry us through almost anything.

This space is the first tiny step toward a larger vision:
A community-supported sanctuary for pets who’ve lost their humans.
A resting place for our mountain wildfire heroes and their companions.
And an online gathering spot for anyone navigating identity, grief, neurodivergence, healing, caregiving, parenting, or simply being beautifully human.

If you’ve read my bio, you already know a little about my journey — the Jackson 5 songs I used to belt out my childhood window, the school plays, the special-needs classrooms I volunteered in, and the music that somehow lived in me long before I knew my biological father helped shape the golden era of soul.

Meeting my bio dad as an adult changed everything. I truly learned what true unconditional love felt like for the very first time.

Caring for my dad through cancer changed everything again.
And now, living with the losses that come with this stage of life… well, that changed me too — made me softer, more grateful, and more determined to leave a legacy of compassion.
