Hey Delynquents,
The time has finally come for some NEW music. "My Head is a Riot" is kicking off this year's monthly releases. I couldn't think of a better song to set the tone for this year. It's a driving, energetic, gritty rock track with a bit of an "f you" attitude. If you're looking for a quick energy boost, this is your track. If you want to dig a bit deeper, we made sure the lyrics would get you thinking.
Dad and I wrote, recorded, and produced this one from the garage studio. This is the first track I've written and played all guitar and bass parts for! What started off at a messy, mumbling demo on my computer back in 2023, is now one of my favourites to date.
Now a decade into building a career in music (I started when I was 16!!), I'm equipped with everything I need to keep going. I've circled back to lots of sounds, writing patterns, and the overall approach to music that I had at 16 years old--effortless and fun creativity. It has taken me a while to shake off some experiences in the industry that discouraged me from just doing what I wanted to be doing. So, this year is all about releasing music that feels right. No frills, no moulds.
