Ingredients:

  • 500g boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces

  • 1 cup plain yogurt

  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tablespoon grated ginger

  • 1 tablespoon garam masala

  • 1 tablespoon ground cumin

  • 1 tablespoon ground coriander

  • 1 teaspoon paprika

  • 1 teaspoon turmeric

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ½ teaspoon black pepper

  • Fresh cilantro leaves, for garnish

  • Lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions:

  • In a large mixing bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, garam masala, ground cumin, ground coriander, paprika, turmeric, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

  • Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, making sure each piece is well coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight, to allow the flavors to meld.

  • Preheat your air fryer to 180°C (360°F) for about 5 minutes.

  • Remove the marinated chicken from the refrigerator and thread the pieces onto skewers, shaking off any excess marinade.

  • Place the skewers in the preheated air fryer basket in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd them. You may need to cook the chicken in batches depending on the size of your air fryer.

  • Air fry the chicken tikka at 180°C (360°F) for 12-15 minutes, flipping halfway through the cooking time, or until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred on the edges.

  • Once cooked, remove the chicken tikka from the air fryer and transfer them to a serving platter. Garnish with fresh cilantro leaves and serve hot with lemon wedges on the side.

  • Enjoy your delicious Air Fryer Chicken Tikka as a flavorful appetizer or as a main course served with rice, naan bread, or your favorite side dishes.
