3D reconstructions of the news, from real data
Debrief rebuilds the news in 3D: earthquakes, hurricanes, floods and aviation incidents, reconstructed from primary data (USGS, the National Hurricane Center, satellite imagery, river gauges, flight tracks), with every claim sourced.
Every video is rendered on a MacBook Air. A single 10-minute reconstruction can take 12 to 14 hours to render, which means breaking stories reach you later than they should. Your coffees go towards a faster Mac, so the next reconstruction can be out in a few hours instead of half a day.
Thank you for watching, and for supporting careful, sourced explainers.
