Hi,

I'm Daniel, software developer, I'm from near Frankfurt/Germany. I work full-time for a small company in the area of software testing/quality assurance. I have more than 20 years of experience as a developer, especially in making software systems testable and developing test automation concepts and test automation frameworks to test the SUT, starting from UI applications, web applications, databases, but also airplanes, cars and many other technical devices.

I know many testing methodologies, testing frameworks and testing tools and teach people to use them.

I currently work a lot with RobotFramework a keyword-driven testing framework and its ecosystem. Which in terms of libraries to connect things to the test are really great, but the tool support for test case creation still leaves a lot to be desired.

That's why I'm actively working on the RobotFramework and am an active member of the RobotFramework community.

Furthermore, I am the main developer of RobotCode, a Visual Studio Code extension for creating, managing and executing RobotFramework test cases and suites.

I do these activities mainly in my spare time and would like some support from the community. I would like to spend more time more with RobotCode and the community and maybe this is a way to do it.

I started quite recent with using your robotframework-gherkin-parser. I want to structure our Testscripts in a better way. And I want to link the testcases direct to the testautomation. Due to this I also started recently using the RobotCode plugin.

I enjoy it, because the feature files are quite clean instead of the old style in RF where RF-code in the (feature) files and in case of a scenario outline I get the parameters in the log report instead of some variable names by the old style in RF

I made already a remark at RobotCode that I miss the hyperlink from the code in the feature file to Robot Framework.

It could be that I will make more remarks due to current my experiences with RobotCode and robotframework-gherkin-parser.
