I began my career in 1972, studying at the New York Institute of Finance. For the next 50+ years, I've held various positions, from broker to investment advisor to CEO and Founder of a Regional Los Angeles-based brokerage firm.
I've had a front-row seat to the evolution of finance in the United States at the time. In the 1970s, "trading the stock market" was a minuscule avocation of a few. Today, that's all changed; a recent Gallup Poll indicates that nearly two-thirds of Americans invest. Whether through one of the various retirement accounts to provide for a child's education, an endowment, or estate planning, investing, and home ownership have become the chief financial assets for most.
But for many, the stock market can be a strange and confusing place -arcane terms combined with obscure traditions and regulations sometimes make it challenging to comprehend. I aim to bring you the "rules of the road," the basics of investing. Join me, won't you, as we explore this fascinating place we call Wall Street.

I have been lazy about clicking to the medium site to clap for your articles, which they well deserve. The other writers I subscribe to send only the first few sentences of their article and then a link such that clicking over to the site is necessary to read the whole article. I don’t know how it is done but I think it would be helpful for your medium pay as I understand it is linked to claps and comments. Best wishes!!
