In the spirit of my work on and vision for "Islands of Galephi," I recently built a web app called "Budget Bard".
It's pretty straightforward. While GM'ing, I found myself more than once in situations where I wanted to set the mood with ambient/music, and juggling Spotify or having several YT tabs open became a bit unwieldy.
There are several apps out there (and kudos to them!), but they also come with subscriptions and/or collect your data.
Budget Bard includes:
Individual scenes with fast & easy setup
A simple YT Playlist for every scene (with shuffle/repeat etc.)
Local saves (no account needed)
An easy way to save/share scenes and set (export/import of csv, json or xml)
A dark/light mode (to not kill the mood at your table)
A template on first start (that you can just edit/delete if you wish)
What Budget Bard doesn't include:
Anything beyond the above
Subscriptions and/or micro-transactions
Give it a spin. Maybe you like it, maybe not. But even if there's only one person out there whose TTRPG life I might have made a little easier with this, it's already a win. ♥️
