The last weekend was a chaotic memorable time that flew by in the blink of an eye. From smudged makeup that caked up in my hair and ears for days, to 12 pizza boxes filled with pepperoni, cheese & the works toppings, it was a time in my life I’ll never forget. A lot of close friends showed up to help create a vision we’ve been planning tirelessly for months to achieve and it became this beautiful dance of ideas in front of the camera.
2 of the 3 days of filming is finished. We gathered Friday and Saturday and filmed both days for 8+ hours. Needless to say, I am exhausted BUT this video is gonna be insanely cool. We all worked so hard and we wrapped up the last night all in smiles and all proud of the work we had done.
One moment I’ll share with you that had all of us laughing was Luna, the horse, coming into the frame. She saw all of us gathered, came right up to us between the camera and the shot we needed, and refused to move because she wanted some horse treats that are kept in the barn. We had to stop everything, find the treats and then coax her away slowly. I tried but she wouldn’t budge for me, even with the treats. It took my friend Shelby to slowly and calmly call her name while shaking the treats and walking backwards away from the filming location. Eventually Luna conceded and moved out of the frame. Clever Luna. She knew what needed to be done to get some treats and now Shelby is known as the horse whisperer!
