If titles were never told to us, would we be able to tell who is who?
The samaritan woman by the well was never told by Jesus that he was a Prophet.
Nevertheless, the conversation Jesus had with her, made her come to the conclusion that Jesus was a Prophet and she said, "Sir, I perceive that you are a Prophet." - John 4:19
What Jesus articulated to her was what made her express and expose the anointing that was in Jesus.
No works, just words. - John 18:4-6
Here is where I am going with this.
Deception can easily take place when we are only listening to what we are being told and we ourselves are not searching the text.
Jesus said, “You search the Scriptures,” Jesus says, “because you think that in them you have eternal life; and it is they that bear witness about me.” - John 5:39
What Jesus is saying that the Old Testament Scriptures, is a witness to Jesus.
We must read and dissect the scriptures so that our ears and eyes may be fine tuned in order to tell who is who.
The Scriptures will be a witness to us to tell us who is who.
To My People: Can you tell? Or are you told?
To My Ministers: Can they tell? Or are you telling?
