The best beaches in Cyprus are on the east coast, in the Ayia Napa – Protaras – Pernera area. Smooth entry into the water, no stones, just sand and easy access even if you come with the little ones in a stroller.

Ayia Napa is not just for parties

It is famous for its nightlife, but Ayia Napa has beaches perfect for families with small children. And if you are not going to Nissi Beach every day, you can relax on less crowded dream places.

Let's see which beaches you want to go to with your family:

🔹 Landa Beach

It is perfect for families. The entrance to the water is smooth for several meters, the water is clean and the sand is perfect.

It is a little further from the center but you will find accommodation nearby. There are also buses to help you get around.

🔹 Makronissos Beach

It is one of the most beautiful in Ayia Napa. Smooth entry into the water and sand only good for kids to play.

You have two hotels to stay right on the beach. It's a few meters walk to the main street for the bus, but it's worth it if you choose to come here.

🔹 The big beach in Ayia Napa. You will find it with the names Glyki Nero and Pantachou Beach.

- avoid staying close to the port, because there are stones at the entrance to the water

- you are within walking distance of the center, restaurants and shops

- you have many hotels in the area to choose from for all budgets.

🔹 Vathia Gonia Beach

It is a small, quiet bay. Many accommodations in the area, supermarkets and restaurants. If the sun doesn't make you to tired, you can take a walk to the center either on the promenade or on the main street. Or, you can use the local buses.

🔹 Nissi Beach

It is not just for "crazy people". And if you choose to stay on the opposite side of the island, it is a completely different atmosphere.

Protaras Beaches

🔹 Protaras Big Beach

Vrissi Beach – the largest beach in the resort. It has a gentle entrance into the water, is not deep right away and is ideal for families with little ones.

🔹 Fig Tree Bay

It is always crowded, but the clear water and very little depth make it perfect for little ones. If you get there in September and October you will find that it looks like a kindergarten by the sea.

🔹 Konnos Bay

This is a gorgeous bay, with perfect water for swimming and good sand for playing. Access can be a bit more difficult, both by car and on foot, because there is only one access road and only stairs.

But it is worth the effort at least for a day.

Pernera Beaches

Less well-known than the first two, the Pernera resort can be a perfect destination for families who want a lot of peace and quiet and small beaches, with perfect sand and water.

🔹 Potami Beach

It is located in an area where you will also find hotels and many villas for rent. The beach is quiet and has a good entrance to the water. It is next to the promenade, and the area is perfect for evening walks on the seashore.

🔹 Polyxenia Beach

It is a small, chic beach, perfect for children. With accommodation in villas nearby, it can be the perfect choice.

🔹 Pernera Beach

The small beach took its name from the hotel next door, which, according to existing reviews, is a good destination. And if your budget allows, you also have a few luxury villas there, with direct access to the sea.

🔹 Louma Beach (Kalamies Beach)

This is a very nice place to spend your vacation. You have both hotels and villas nearby to stay.

The beach is small, near the port, with water that is perfect for little ones. You also have a chance to see turtles in the area.

🔹 Vrysoudi Beach

There is a hotel with access to this beach and the scenery is very beautiful. The water is perfect for children and the area is quiet, maybe a little more isolated, but you have buses that go very well in the area.

Larnaca

Larnaca has 3 large beaches, all with shallow water at the entrance, perfect for children, but the sand is perhaps not the best for buckets and spades.

🔹 Finikoudes Beach

The beach in the city, in the area with restaurants and the port. It is good if you are on a budget and want cheaper accommodation, close to the airport, but with the beach close by.

🔹 Mackenzie Beach

Also in Larnaca, towards the airport, in an area where you will also find beach bars. However, if you want a gentle entry into the water and enough space for the little ones to run and play, this could be the perfect choice.

🔹 Oroklini

It is the same type of beach as Finikoudes, but it has a more holiday and resort feel. You have hotels on the seafront and villas in the background.

Paphos

Paphos is not famous for sandy beaches and warm, calm waters, but if you are in the area you can still find something good for the little ones.

🔹 Venus Bleu Beach

🔹 Corallia Beach

🔹 Coral Bay

Limassol

Limassol has enough sandy beaches, most of which are good for the little ones. Therefore, if you fancy a holiday in a cosmopolitan city, but with a beach in front of your hotel, you have this option too. For those who will be renting a car, also go to Lady’s Mile Beach.
