I have been pretty silent here, and pretty much everywhere at the moment. I had to put my content on pause as some major life changes started taking place in my life.
I put streams on hiatus on 12 July, and the last vod that I had scheduled went out on YT on 17 July.
At that time I had a lot of uncertainty about what I was doing, my job, and my mental health took a mega swan dive. But since then, the uncertainty has been replaced by plans that keep flipflopping from 'I am out of my depth what am I doing?' to 'definitely achievable with a lot of work', and I am taking back control of my hyperactive yet very weary mind.
The current, tentative schedule sees me moving to my new place in October. In the time between now and then I need to sell the majority of my belongings and get a tonne of work done to my house. October includes moving and getting a tonne more work done to my house. Ideally, that work will be wrapped up in November and I will be settling into my new life.
While, all being well, November provides the first real opportunity to get back to creating content, I am going to have to go with the flow a lot. I am moving into a room in a house share so Concern #1 that raises is reliable and decent internet connection. Concern #2 is noise levels, more mine than anyone else's 😂. Beyond that, my job continues to be as turbulent as ever, so I really cannot predict any kind of schedule or timeframe. I could be working more, I could be out of a job, who knows. Finally, one thing that I do know is that there is no way I will be able to make the amount of content that I used to, or that I would like. I am moving to be closer to friends, which naturally includes spending time with them, and closer to things going on irl, which also includes going places. So there is going to be a process of discovering what Noob 2.0 is going to be.
I am writing this post for two reasons. One is just as an official update of where things are currently, as I never managed to pause things as neatly as I would have liked. The second is just to let everyone know that I am still here, I still love content, I still love games, I am still thinking about it all and I miss everyone too.
As a result of my newly discovered yet ever evolving timeframe, I have cancelled everyones financial membership for now. Once I am back up and running I will let everyone know and you can choose if you would like to re-enooble (with no obligation to at all), but while the content is in hibernation, go and buy yourselves some coffees (or games).
The hiatus has been an unfortunate necessity, as even if I had the time - which I don't feel I do at the moment - with everything I am trying to organise at once, I just don't have the bandwidth. But that just means I will have so much to talk about when I get back!
