I created my blog because I needed an outlet for my own voice. 

I’m a former editorial director and content marketing strategist in fintech and personal finance. I spent the last decade working my way up the content marketing career ladder… only to crash so hard, I had to take a break from the profession to focus on my health. TWICE! Now I'm back to writing — and creating art and music and comedy stuff. I've reclaimed my creativity for my own ideas and projects. It feels good to produce for no one but myself, then put it out into the world and see who it resonates with.

CristyWrites.com is my space for whatever I want to write about: art, climbing, comedy, travel, mental health, writing, my life, Tejano history you've never heard about, anything. I’ve carved out this little slice of the internet for my unmarketable material, and I have plans to do a lot more.
