Here's an extract from a book I finished reading today. It's from THE LITTLE WHITE HORSE by Elizabeth Goudge. I found it quite endearing (with the exception of a few things) and I recommend reading it. Lots of passages made me hungry because the food was so well described. This extract is not about food, but it's lovely as well.
