Hi, I'm Max (He/They), a 27-year-old writer, maker, and former touring musician from Michigan. My hobbies: skateboarding, fingerboarding, flipping butterfly knives, crochet, and sewing my own patches, alongside some years spent as a vocalist in a touring emo band.
In 2023 I was diagnosed with Complex-PTSD, which ended my touring life and threw everything off course. To make sense of the chaos, I dove deep into psychology, philosophy, and eventually the occult, drawing on thinkers like Plato, Nietzsche, Jung, Freud, Crowley, Peter J. Carroll, Lon Milo DuQuette, Robert Wang, and Paracelsus, plus existentialist sci-fi like The Metamorphosis of Prime Intellect and VALIS. I don't stick to one system of belief. I'd rather keep searching wherever the truth might be hiding.
That search became Liber Polyhedra, a printable grimoire for chaos magick-infused astragalomancy that I've been building since August 2025. It's become my way of turning chaos I never chose into chaos I can actually work with, something that keeps me moving forward even on the hard days with C-PTSD, which I deal with in some form every single day.
I currently work full-time as a line cook to get by. It's honest work, but it takes a real toll on my mind, body, and spirit, and it's part of why I started building something of my own. Disability isn't a realistic option in the U.S. right now (the process is brutal, and any outside income can get it revoked), so this project is my shot at building something sustainable on my own terms.
If you enjoy Liber Polyhedra and want to help keep it growing, a coffee goes a long way. It helps me keep developing the project and, eventually, get it published for real.
