Offri un caffè a Chris Smith

I’ve started this Buy Me a Coffee page to help support the ongoing costs of running the CPU Mastodon instance.

The CPU instance is an independent social server built on the idea that social networking can be healthier, calmer and more human when it isn’t driven by advertising, data exploitation or algorithmic manipulation. Running a Mastodon instance comes with real costs - hosting, storage, backups, maintenance and ongoing time spent keeping everything secure, stable and up to date.

Your support helps keep this instance online and accessible and directly contributes to maintaining a small part of the open social web.

More broadly, donations also help support the wider idea of independent, community-run servers. These spaces exist to make social networking a more pleasant experience: less noise, more control and a stronger sense of community.

Whether you choose to contribute or simply participate on the instance, thank you for being here and helping make this space what it is.
