I love Rugby, I love talking about Rugby.
And, I am trying to build a platform where I get to talk about Rugby and contribute positively to the growth of this great sport.
I am currently focusing on improving my presentation skills so that I can create content that is easy to understand yet stimulating for viewers. My aim is to make each video better than the last regardless of how big or small the improvement. I want to make the process of learning the game pleasurable and without frustration.
Rugby is one of the fastest growing sports in the world and the Rugby World Cup is seen by many as the 3rd biggest sports tournament in the world, behind only the Football World Cup and the Olympics.
Yet Rugby Union remains one of the hardest sports for new-comers to grasp.
At 16 my life journey saw me move from South Africa, where Rugby plays a major role in everyday society, to Melbourne Australia, where people live and breathe Aussie Rules Football and Rugby Union is a sport most people only watch on big occasions, at best!
So it's my years spent living in Melbourne and interacting with the Aussie Rules obsessed community I am now a part of, where I learnt how strange some Rugby idiosyncrasies appear to the uneducated eye.
It made me realise how I took my knowledge of Rugby for granted. Because where I was from everyone understood the game, that is just the way life was.
So here we are. I want to build a one stop platform which will be a resource people new to rugby can rely on. Because why should where you are from or where you are born be a barrier to you getting involved in what I believe is the best sport on the planet.
