Since launching Romancing the Revolution in March, I've been compiling my pages into downloadable pdfs. This project has been a long time coming. Finally, a whole collection exists of all three volumes of the pages I shared through March, April, and May! It's 150 pages and you can get it here.

As with most things that begin as a radical first, these pages came together in a way that was full of surprises. I didn't expect to pull in so many old pages from years ago. Some are quite raw. Others were never meant to be shared publicly, or they were pages I specifically created for a smaller audience or particular engagement. I'm really happy they have a place to live, and even more pleased this collection will now stand on its own.
To be honest, though, this wasn't what I initially intended for the Romancing the Revolution pages.
I intended to share real-time big thoughts and deep feelings as they surface week after week. This was supposed to be a project of building documentation, not a dig into the old archives. I wasn't planning to uncover pages from the past or share anything unbeknownst to my prior self. I was aiming to offer an honest window into my current process, to show how I'm trying to stay responsive to our present realities while surfing the continuous edge of my own learning. I wanted to share what it looks and feels like for me to practice, in a disciplined way, actively participating in a conscious and attuned relationship to what is happening while trying to do what I am best situated to do that might help us all get more free.
Romancing the Revolution has always been about tending to an underlying commitment to be who we need, to move with love, from a place of liberation, even and especially in these conditions. For me, that includes becoming more intimate -- more intimate with truth, more intimate with ourselves and others.
This, I believe, is all of our work.
As I started creating for Romancing the Revolution back in March, I quickly realized my stockpiled pages and pieces of writing needed a long-term home of their own. I suppose I wanted to make space for them somewhere else, too. Creating more room for my thoughts to be new felt good, in part because that process necessarily involves a deliberate revisitation and attentive review.
Moving them out of piles of digital files into one large collection was like stitching a quilt where patterns resonate across found pieces of fabric, even when the pieces are small and cut from different cloths. Reading through the pages defies linearity, but it also traces some important paths of thinking and feeling that got me here. I was reminded of things I didn't remember writing. At times, I was especially delighted to find something strangely familiar in words that could be traced multiple years back.
An Appropriate Way to Begin
For many years I've resisted creating an "easy" introductory packet of definitions and concepts to present the most important things people need to know. Trust me, folks have asked for it, but the request itself signals something I consider a significant risk. I'm skeptical of the false confidence that often emerges out of this desire to be adequately "caught up" from the outset. The obvious tell of such an unfortunate pattern lies in the fact that those definitions and concepts are already repetitiously present and available (not just in my own work, though definitely there, too).
When the want to know is stronger than the will to actually go through the process of what it feels like to learn, people get too comfortable thinking they've finally arrived somewhere without even beginning. All relationships take time to develop. Even truth is a relationship. Epiphanies and revelations should be as humbling as they are thrilling. Start anywhere, any way. Pay attention and you're already making progress.
People expect promised outcomes but disregard the fact that we are primarily responsible for stretching our own souls. This matters, because we can take ourselves (and each other) much further when we are fueled by our own genuine want and sincere desire. You have to want it to will it, especially when we're talking about processes of becoming, radical transformation, being part of collective movements.
So maybe it helps to approach these volumes like travel journals.
They are innately personal even as they attempt to point to something through and beyond my own experience. While you're not right there, traversing the same philosophical terrain step by step, I hope you might journey along because it's so important to somehow grasp the slow and steady pace of learning. Reading periodic entries of where I've been along the way gives an account of how I've tried to move though the past few years. Perhaps naively, I didn't fully anticipate this retrospective collection would give such a vulnerable account of me, but now that I know, I'm happy to share. It's been beautiful and arduous, baby. Maybe you, too, know something of that project already, and that's why you're still here reading this far down.
Milestones and Milemarkers
Since the start of the year, I've been looking forward to July because I knew this would be a transitional month that brings big changes. By publishing and sharing this collection of Volumes I-III of pages from Romancing the Revolution, I'm ready to move on!
If you are looking to familiarize yourself with some background, explore a primer, get an introduction, this is it. I can't help but take these pages and what they contain with me as I move forward into the second half of 2026, but I don't intend to work through them in any structured way.
I'm really challenging myself to embrace the more radical work of creating new pages in the weeks and months ahead to ground the process in an energy of what's most present. To me, the task is to be even more honest.
The first few months of Romancing the Revolution were crucial. They helped clarify the purpose of the space. With that, I'm resetting my intention to invite others into a process of exploring the furthest edge of my own learning, which is an intimate methodology that is as strategic as it is vulnerable, precisely because I know the power of learning with and from others. (Yes, naturally, this is also a way to develop the epistemology of intimacy!) To be clear, this approach is strategic because it has always been about much more than my own process - if you're willing, it is intended to catalyze and inspire your process in a way that I hope feels uniquely potent.
I want to become more intimate in a way I haven't seen many others do, but I feel compelled to at least attempt. If our task is to get more free so we can do our work in ways that open up more freedom for others, what I don't want to create is a weekly space for casual check ins and interesting conversation. There's value in that, but this isn't that sort of space.
I'm not trying to be an educator in a traditional sense, maybe not even in an easily marketable way. I don't want to catch people up. I want those who are willing and wanting to join me (even when it is hard to find the right words to describe what it looks and feels like).
As far as I can tell, my new pages should be the anchor that gives Romancing the Revolution the most tangible weight. It's how I want to use my creative energies to see if we can get where I really want to go. The point here is to dive as deep as we can on a shared breath.
